Prophecy Lyrics

Consider this a sign.
This is a train in the night
And now it's time for you to go
You know you've had a healthy life, boy.

You walk this world like you're a ghost
Your hands are coming through the needles
Sick of your tragic and the evils
I am the keeper of the songs of everyone

Look into the sun and see your soul is dying
Used to feel the faith, but now you're tired of trying
Should have left alone what you have stolen from everyone
How are you feeling?
Seem a little sick to me now

This is a coming of the times
You are a witness to the movement

If all you're seeing is your lies
You had your chance, but now you've blown it.
You want this world so you can own them
I am the keeper of the songs of everyone

Look into the sun and see your soul is dying
Used to feel the faith, but now you're tired of trying
Should have left alone what you have stolen from everyone

How are you feeling?
You seem a little sick to me

From the light on high
A chance to change your fate
Forgiveness falling down
On those who chose to wait
Remember the time
Find yourself home again
Deep within your life
Find yourself a home again find yourself home again
It's a choice
You have chosen your own

In the old days
When the world was young and bright
If you raise the mask, who will lead us home tonight

Look into the sun and see your soul is dying
Used to feel the faith, but now you're tired of trying
Should have left alone what you have stolen from everyone
How are you feeling?
Look into the sun and see your soul is dying
Used to feel the faith, but now you're tired of trying
Should have left alone what you have stolen from everyone
How are you feeling?
Seems a little sick
It seems a little sick
It seems a little sick to me now

Should have left alone what you have stolen from everyone.

I thought about this. What can you steal? Hearts maybe. I don't really know where I was going with that, maybe someone can pick it up and roll with it.

This is one of my favorite songs. I believe I first heard this song in the late ninetys on one of our local radio stations and Im pretty sure its in the opening title sequence of "She's all that" (Freddy prinze junior and Rachael Leigh Cook) Where Rachael Leigh Cook's character is painting.

It reminds me of the people in my highschool.

But I have no idea what the song is really talking about, It paints a haunting and surreal picture that i really like.

Greatest song ever!

The title, Prophecy, obviously refers to religion, right? I believe he's "confronting" the hypocritical leaders of TBN churches. Many have been caught cheating people out of their money. These are often men who once had faith in God, but realized that profit could be made off of people and were overcome with greed. They panhandle whole congregations. They've been asking people who struggle to make ends meet to make "leaps of faith" and donate huge sums of money to the church. The preacher tucks the money away for himself (essentially robbing people of their money). So how do you feel, preacher, cuase you seem a little sick to me...

That's my take on this one.

ahhhh! all i can think of when i hear this song is the scene in last kiss when zach braff and rachel bilson hook up. it's PERFECT...especially how they make it fit to the music. basically it's nothing short of a spectacular song.

i think that the line “how you feel seems a little sick to me”, refers to him being incredulous that this person doesnt feel bad about having stolen from others, and that he is disgusted about how they are able to act seemingly without a conscience... excellent song!

I think that this song is about a man who had a good life but didn't appreciate it. Since he was so blind and ungrateful he started sinning, and the song urges the boy to go back to his old life. While he has plenty of oppurtunities to go back, still he allows his pure soul to slowly fade away as he allows his sins to overcome him. So now the question is whether he will realize how sick his mistakes are and take the secret "train in the night" back into his old life. This implies that no one has to know of his mistakes.

Maybe this is just the way my mind works, but doesn't anyone else think this song is about shooting dope?? :/

God I hope so. There's nothing to suggest this is about drugs at all.

Sure there is . . needles, seem a little sick, etc . . a lot of other lines in the song suggest drug addiction and how it steals away your life. I also work with heroin addicts all day, soo it's not surprising that that's what I came up with.

@SwtCherity, I absolutely agree and probably a heroin addict

Maybe it's about A boy like a teenager in highschool who has this perfect life and doesn't even apperciate it. He could be throughing it away. Maybe what they meant by stolen from everyone is he could be like a bully? Haha idk

throwing* xD
