My Eyes Have Seen You Lyrics
Stand in your door
When we meet inside
Show me some more X3
My eyes have seen you X3
Turn and stare
Fix your hair
Move upstairs X3
My eyes have seen you X3
Free from disguise
Gazing on a city under
Television skies X3
My eyes have seen you X2
Eyes have seen you
Let them photograph your soul
Memorize your alleys
On an endless roll
Endless roll X15

The only suitable word in my opinion for this song is: sexy...
"Memorize your alleys On an endless roll"
Man,Morrisson had a really great talent in words
I would say the correct lyrics are:
I would say the correct lyrics are:
"Memorize your image On an endless roll"
"Memorize your image On an endless roll"
This makes more sense, since the previous line talks about a photograph:
This makes more sense, since the previous line talks about a photograph:
"Eyes have seen you Let them photograph your soul"
"Eyes have seen you Let them photograph your soul"

and the riff in this song just kicks ass like most doors songs.

I think it's about a model, or a porn star or actress who's been photographed naked. Jim has been with her and knows her personally, rather than just knowing what she is infamous for. He sees her going about her daily life, "free from disguise," and he also sees her fix her hair to appear on camera, and let them photograph her soul, or most intimate parts. "Memorize your alleys on an endless roll," is the line that gives it away -- it's a roll of film, endlessly making records of all her body's alleys which Jim may or may not have known in person.

the lyrics to this song are mesmerizing...its about being able to look deep into a person, a lot to do with perception and maybe love at first site.

Television skies - is it all of the parabols in Venice?

Jim was living on a rooftop near Venice Beach and he could see the tv towers and everything like that. I think this is about finding lovers as well. Might be about Pam but I'm not certain.

i used to hate this song so much but it grew on me, great melody and lyrics

This is such a pretty song! And i'm sure it was about Pam.

i read in a ook that it was write for nico

Great Doors song, yes, but the melody was lifted from a TV & radio jingle for a detergent:
"A**x works / Stronger than dirt"
