this song used to mean so much to me an i couldnt stop listening to it, i even rewrote the lyrics the way i interpreted them. even though im not much into pink anymore this is an excellent song. i think its basically about this girl who is really confused, she is having a tough time living on her own, she feels like there are 2 people inside of her an she's not sure how to act, she wants to know what people think of her...
I think this song is completely about trying to please people and get them to like you despite what you are on the inside or the outside. Pink is so damn cute and writes some kick ass lyrics. I think she has led a pretty intense life at her young age.

I agree with Caramia8 on this song.. I think it's about a girl who's two personalities are 1) Trying to please others so she fits in and has friends 2)Not wanting to fit in, telling herself that she's all she needs.. she doesn't need friends. It's a hard question, Do you change yourself to conform or do you be yourself and risk having no friends? I think at the end the narrator (pink, if she's writing this about herself) has given up listening to herself and is starting to conform. I used to think this song was about a person with some psychological problem.. But i don't know anymore.
i agree with everyone but in pinks point of view, i think its exactly how she felt at the time. i mean back then when the whole cant take me home album came out her hair was short literally pink and she was rnb and looked like one, but i think that she didnt know who she was and had some sort of rocker inside her. there are times you just dont no who u are, and then obviously now, she let go of the whole rnb and now i think she fits herself perfectly. GO PINK! cant take me home is my favourite album ever.
