Leave The Light On Lyrics
So please leave the light on,
After you've gone.
Leave the pictures in their aging frames up where they belong.
Leave the bed sheets unclean and they will reek of you still,
Cover me in resolve.
So please leave the imagery,
I can twist it.
Dissociation and obsession,
Superstition and pain.
I can carry them on too,
And bury you once again.
If I could bring this memory to life,
I'd apologize.
I live to hear you say what they can't,
I would make amends.
They'd all love to have you back but ...
I'd give anything to bring you back to say goodbye.
After you've gone.
Leave the pictures in their aging frames up where they belong.
Leave the bed sheets unclean and they will reek of you still,
Cover me in resolve.
I can twist it.
Dissociation and obsession,
Superstition and pain.
I can carry them on too,
And bury you once again.
I'd apologize.
I live to hear you say what they can't,
I would make amends.
They'd all love to have you back but ...
I'd give anything to bring you back to say goodbye.

This is the best song i have heard in a very long time. if you haven't heard it before, download the mp3. It is for everybody who has lost somebody they loved.
i'm a sucker for those songs. this one, "bro hymn" by pennywise, "scars" by the suicide machines, the list goes on. as i much as i enjoy songs about failed relationships and other stuff, tributes to friends that have passed are probably the ones that hit me hardest.
Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth. i guess its just the way you look at it thats all
this is the sample from the song, its from the movie jacob's ladder

Also, WTF is with these wall of text lyrics? Is splitting the song into lines that difficult?
This song is really deep. It's about a guy who broke up with his girlfriend, but in reality, he doesn't exactly want her back. He wants her to leave everything the way it was to make him more comfortable. In the end, he realizes he was an asshole for whatever he did, but instead of wanting her back as his partner like most songs would, he just wants her back to say goodbye and apologize
Nice song... Now, if you like "punk" albums with movie audio bits in it then check out Frenzal Rhomb's San Souci album... it is chock full of piss funny clips from a doco called Cunnamulla.. oh yer, and it's got some really good song on it too.. :D
