Twenty-Seven Lyrics
I hope you didn’t mind when I saw you turn into nothing less than nothing new Before you wait to sleep it off... How little is enough? What can you do? before you decide to make the last mistake With draw away from us and say good-bye to all but one that takes you ond puts you to rest On twenty-seven street nothing will keep you warm Everything bring you harm Everything here fails you Now lying at your feet Everyone nails you Everyone worships you Everyone here fails you I can figure it out and it’s all about to... turn into lack of wit on sinking ships I might have jumped but you jumped first Abandon ties that bind There’s no salvation here I’d surely miss the times when we were so depressed No I miss you I Know I miss you and you are missing something You take a rip and then you find sedation Some salvation A masochistic only point of view Nothing is left to you Everyond speaks the truths Everyone here fails me Hope you didn’t mind when I saw you

Why hasn't anyone commented on this Yet? Oh well... it is a great song This song sort of reminds me on how stupid my friends can act some times... then i wonder, why are they my friends
I always thought this song had something to do with the 27 Club, it seems Joey is speaking to his brethren who's lives were ended short.
I think thi song is about a guys girlfriend who abuses alcohol and drugs and he trys to help her but he gives up because its too much for him and he leaves her.
Isn't it about there former drummer Derrick Plourde..?
To me this song almost feels like a conversation between two old friends (unspecified level of connection).
They both start to experience the use of drugs as a solution to their apathy/depression.
One realized this will lead to nothing of substance.
One erroneously proceeds to fine this ^ the smartest response. Inflated ego ("no one gets me"), denial, further descent into the crevasse.
And it's sad. The lyrics "seem" to me to be the escaped friend experiencing the futility of trying to aid their fallen friend, mirroring the thoughts of their fallen friend experiencing the confusion and dismissal of the ones trying to provide help.
That's what I seem to hear. It resonates.
