Dis'chords Lyrics

Silent again - when spoken their is friction and conflict
Why do we rub each other wrong maybe
We've known each other too well for too long
You and I have heard each other speech before are
These words that I said - the same words that you heard
We can only agree to disagree in disharmony
Is it too much likeness or indifference
Well the answers in the question isn't it
The deepest cut of all comes from a trusted friend
But I'm sick of it all I can't listen I wish that
All of this would end - you cut me off - I cut you down - serrated words
Let's stop repeating the lesson. We've been through thick n' thin
I consider you a friend though it's hard for me show
Every time you hear this song you'll know it's not just the business
We know much more exist let's end the bad notes and the dis'chords
We'll tune our attitude and realize a personal reward

Awesome song.

Minor correction:

It's "Serrated words" not "Jerrated"

lol. I was like "wtf is Jerrated?" then went to Lagwagon's site to get lyrics, and sure enough, it was serrated.

Great song about friendships breaking down. Hindsight

I think you're partially right. Look at it more if say, you and a guitar player in your band had rough times. Sometimes you act like friends, and then other times you're only together because it "seems like a business." I think it that is true of course, then Joey thinks it would be funny to compare relationships in a bad to music it self, Dis'Chords, end the bad notes, tune our attitudes.

Finally changed out that jerrated lyric... dafuq does jerrated mean?

@Tricky1979 And here we are in 2022 with "jerrated" back in place. Meh.

Amazing song, like pretty much all of Trashed, best Lagwagon album by far. Listened to it on stereo with only 2 cassette tapes when I was 14 and it's still so solid, the serious songs like this one, No One, Rust, Island of Shame, Give It Back, Coffee And Cigarettes, and the never-should-have-been-removed version of Choke (it's on the 2 CD re-release) which is way better than the version on Double Plaidinum (that album is bad, lots of the guys in the band changed, a session guitarist who never played with them live...that strange production).

You cut me off...I cut you...down...down..

This is literally reminding me of when I still lived with my mom, which I did for a good while because she specifically bought a house where I could walk to college from and save tons of money. Miscommunication at its worst, especially her taking offense when I was agreeing with her...couldn't be me I guess, the way I express myself, she strangely never comprehended.

This is about all kinds of two-way verbally abusive relationships and it can and does make me feel sad sometimes, so they got it right.
