Smash It Up Lyrics

We've been playing now for much too long
And never gonna dance to a different song
I'm gonna scream and shout til my dying breath
I'm gonna smash it up til there's nothin left

Ooo Smash it up
Smash it up, Smash it up

People call me weird, oh it's such a shame
Maybe it's my clothes, must to blame
I don't even care if I look a mess
Don't wanna be a sucker like all the rest

Ooo Smash it up
Smash it up, smash it up

Smash it up
(And you can keep your crystal glasses)
Smash it up
(And you can see a very dead-way end)
Smash it up
(And you can stick a frothy lager)
Smash it up
(Up the fuck with your lesson)

We've been playing now for much too long
And never gonna dance to a different song
I'm gonna scream and shout til my dying breath
I'm gonna smash it up til there's nothin left

Ooo Smash it up
Smash it up, smash it up

And everybody's smashing things down, yeah
I said everybody's smashing things down, oh yeah

Offspring has never done a bad cover. In fact I prefer this version over The Damned. This song is bad ass and I'm sure hardly any of the teeny-bopper Offspring Fans have even heard this or the original.

Seriously, two comments on this song??? Well it's from the Batman Forever soundtrack, and yes it is a cover. If this site was around in 95, there'd probably be a few hundred comments on this... But I digress.

There's no such thing as a bad Offspring cover. These guys just tackle every cover they're given. This one's my favorite from them, though. It's addicting, and in a weird way, "beautiful." I like both The Damned's version AND this version.

I bet The Offspring's mainstream pop-punk teeny-bopper fans haven't even heard of The Damned, let alone this badass song.
