Jigsaw Youth Lyrics
I can sell my body if I wanna
God knows you already sold your mind
I may sell my body for money sometimes
But you can't stop the fire that burns inside of me
You think I don't know
I'm here to tell you I do
You think I don't know
I know the truth about you yeah
Jigsaw, jigsaw youth
We go with the kids
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Jigsaw, jigsaw youth
We know there's not one way, one light, one stupid truth
Don't fit your definitions
Don't need your demands
Not into win lose reality
Won't fit in with your plan
God knows you already sold your mind
I may sell my body for money sometimes
But you can't stop the fire that burns inside of me
I'm here to tell you I do
I know the truth about you yeah
We go with the kids
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Don't fit your definitions
Don't need your demands
Not into win lose reality
Won't fit in with your plan

Yep Kathleen explained the meaning of this song herself. It's about how women shouldn't accuse other women of not being feminist enough because they work in the sex industry, wear make-up, wear dresses etc It distracts us from discussing more important issues that affect women and alienates other women who could be valuable allies.
she says she'll do what she wants.
This song scares the fuck out of me... I have no idea why!
On the meaning though I agree with elles.
There is an article in the booklet of the CD version of the first two records that talks about jigsaw youth and what it meant to kathleen, i think.
It said a lot about how people can't fit into a mold and often contradict themselves, and we shouldn't judge them on how they were brought up or assume things about them based on how they act at one point in time.
I think that relates a lot to this song.
