R.I.P. Lyrics
In just one single song
I can't put how I feel in a package
And sell it back to everyone
There's another boy genius who's fucking gone
I hope the food tastes better in heaven
I know there's lots of rad queer boys up there
I hope every time they talk to you
They know they're lucky to be yr friend
There's another boy genius who's fucking gone
And I wouldn't be so fucking mad so fucking
Pissed off if it wasn't so fucking wrong
It's all fucking wrong
It's not fair, it's not fair, it's not fair
Yeah, but no one said, no one said
Nothing's supposed to happen right?
No, no one told me anything
To prepare me for fucking this
Don't tell me it don't matter
Don't tell me I've had three days to get over it
It won't go away
It just won't go away

kurt cobain maybe? I really have no idea. I've never heard it and I don't know much about the band.

this song was written about Gene Barnes, aka portia manson who died from aids related menengitus in 1996. R.I.P. stands for rest in pissed-off ness.

obviously not every song about someone dying is about kurt cobain. but THIS song could definately be about him, because kathleen was friends with him

who was this written about?

Does anyone know what "rad queer boys" is? Someone who's just regular gay or does it mean something more?
Gene was a member of the Radical Faeries (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radical_Faeries for more background information, or http://www.radfae.org/ancestors/ for a picture of Gene).

"rad queer boys" doesn't it mean like the same as.. cool gay boys or ect.

Incredible song! I still like to imagine it's about Kurt Cobain...suuuch a good song. p.s. "rad queer boys" basically means cool gay guys...you know. rad?

i always though it was about kurt cobain.
[@cruel to be kind:2001] I always thought it was when it came on my sonos. That's why I looked it up.

Yeah, I always assumed this was written about Kurt... Kathleen was a good friend of his, after all

hmm.. odd, not once did it occur to me this could have been about Kurt before I read these comments or that it was written about Kathleen's friend with AIDS.
"I hope the food tastes better in heaven"... great line.
