Star Bellied Boy Lyrics

He said he wanted to
Just touch you

He said he wanted to
Just touch you

Star bellied boy different from the rest
You're so different from the rest
Prove you're different from the rest
You're no fucking different from the rest

(I only wanted to believe we are all free)

And then he said "Why wont you fuck me?"
And then he said "Do me do me do me"
And then he said "I'll be your best friend"
And then I said......

Why
Do
I
Cry
Every
Time
That
I
Cum?

I can't I can't I can't cum
I can't I can't I can't cum
I can't I can't I can't cum
I can't I can't I can't cum
Why?

I think the star bellied part is a Dr.Seuss reference to the book The Sneetches. And in the book The Sneetches the ones with stars on their bellies think there better or different. And I think that is what the song is saying is a lot of guys think their different or better than the average guy. But when they are challenged to prove it,they really aren't.And in her case there all after the same thing from her and are only worried about whats in it for them.

to me, this song makes a lot of sence. besides the fact that im obsessed w bikini kill's way of understanding me the star bellied boy definatley makes me picture a skinny boy with nautical star tattoos on his stomache and shes telling herself that hes different and when shes asks him to prove it she finds hes as bad as the rest of the fuckers 'why do i cry everytime that i cum' is like, she probably keeps fucking him even tho hes making her sad by not loving her yeah lol

this might be a dumb question, but does this song have anything to do with hole's song starbelly? the titles just seem SO similar, and courtney and kathleen hate each other SO much that i was curious to see if there was a connection...anyone know?

i think it talks about the sensitive boy, that all girls make such a fuzz about, and that can turn out he isn't really what he says he is -different- but just like any other boy, and it pisses her off that she's with him, and she's fucking him, but he's not what she thought, and not what he said he was.

reminds me of someone i used to know. :/ sad, as he tainted anything by kathleen hanna for me for years. he was disgusting. the 'sensitive misogynist/abuser.' urgh.

She thinks "star-bellied boy" is different, but he just wants one thing from her- "why won't you fuck me, do me do me do me, I'll be your best friend". Maybe she gives in, but it is obviously not a satisfying experience. I think that it's talking about once you are from an abusive past, touch can also upset you (why do I cry every time that I come?), especially if it's in this type of situation where the person only wants sex from you, and does not treat you as a whole person.

With the lyric "I only wanted to believe we are all free" maybe she wants to give into this idea of free love, of openess, which obviously benefits the guy by giving him sex, but does not benefit her, because he just treats her as an object.
