New Radio Lyrics
(one, two three, four)
I'm the little girl at the picnic
Who won't stop pulling her dress up
It doesn't matter who's in control now
It doesn't matter cause this is new radio
What the fuck is written all over your pretty face
The gaps in teeth
The dirty nails
Baby boy you can't kill what's fucking real
Turn that song down
Turn the static up
Come here baby, let me kiss you like a boy does
Let's wipe our cum on my parents' bed
Come on
Who won't stop pulling her dress up
It doesn't matter who's in control now
It doesn't matter cause this is new radio
The dirty nails
Baby boy you can't kill what's fucking real
Turn that song down
Turn the static up

i love how they turn the idea of female sexuality on its head. It's like they speak the unspoken, what girls aren't supposed to say or be explicit, the dirty, messy and even tantalizing without it turning into something objectifying and playing into a fantasy. And in doing that, it turns into something confronting, raw, provoking and ultimately real. And not just this song but in general. So different to "female sexual empowerment" of like the Britneys and whatnot. They're so subversive. There's no other Bikini Kill. <3. Just a thought I had about them today. And I think this song pretty much sums that up, with the grittiness of the words, and descriptions of reality- dirty nails, gaps in teeth, and how they are breaking down of fantasy- "baby boy you can't kill what's f*cking real" and of course explicit sexual references that society would not like very much like "lets wipe cum on our parents bed" as well as the way they sing "yeah" mock(?) tantalizingly. I wish there was a New Radio that played songs like that! The end.
I heard a verison of she saying Kiss me like a dyke does.
the version i'm listening to has an extra line that says "what the fuck is written all over your pretty face?" does everyone's say that?
oh and that last line is genius.
I love this song but i think the line that begins with "BAby boy" she says "you can't kill what's fucking real", not "for real". Am i crazy or can anyone back me up on this? :-?
This song could be about corporate rock and the 'good ole boy' system that still exists in the rock community. Joan Jett sings and plays guitar on this. And alice in wonderland is wrong: Bikini Kill is written in TWO words. Duh!
to that last comment, that is great!! where did you find that version it, i would like to hear. i never knew joan jett was involved in this song, thats so cool, joan is awesome. the end of this song is fantastic it makes me laugh cause its so vulgar.
yeah every version of new radio that i've heard says "what the fuck is written all over your pretty face" right before "the gaps in teeth" and it sounds fucking great, i love it =)
Yeah I agree Nirvana Chick. This song rocks, but the lyrics here are wrong.
I think its about abandoning political issues etc and just having fun
Silly people trying to censor Bikini Kill.
fucking amazing song!!!!! ♥
