I am ashamed to say I have never heard this song, which I'll have to remedy soon. Love the band and love the debut album...my favorite album of all time. I spend so much time discussing "manhood" with my young son and as I watched him fall asleep tonight I smiled as I wondered what he will be like when he's an adult; married; with children; and relecting on his childhood. He is the joy of my life (his sister, too, although she's somewhat distant due to her age) and I pray every day that he will make someone a thoughtful and caring husband and father. We give them wings, but they must fly alone.

cmon no comments? this song is great!!! And self explanatory. There is probably a story behind it but I don't know it. Just take the song as good advice.

Great lyric and song. I also have young boys and these are words to share with them. I've met too many in my life that weren't taught these simple lessons. This is what it's all about. RIP Brad Delp
