All Over The World Lyrics

with a pet at my side
God in the sky
snow falling down
freeze my body to the ground
i can't ride
but one more time
i will ride
all over the world

washed over the side
top of the sky
slow diver down
two feet land on a different fround
you can't live easily
you can't even speak
but all of them speak
all over the world

i will meet you over there
i am going to meet you over there
washed over the side
top of the sky
slow diver down
two feet land on a different ground
you can't live easily
you can't even speak
fish all of them speak
all over the world

a plain with no herd
not even a bird
when one side is hot
the other side of the moon is not
it's just like a ride
maybe some time
they'll make it a ride
all over the world

i will meet you over there
i am going to meet you over there

time is an arrangement
time is an arranger
i am a derangement

all my thoughts
all i am are my thoughts
all my thoughts
i am all what i'm taught

better call the ranger
got a train derailments
better call the ranger

what i'm taught
all i am are my thoughts
all my thoughts
all i am are my thoughts
what i'm not

sounds like an interesting trip, eh? I like the idea about space. maybe floating up there thinking how time is an 'arrangement'...noticing the cricles. the sun goes round the earth. we ride the earth in circles. The circles of questioning who we are - all my thoughts all I am are my thoughts all my thoughts I am all what I'm taught...all I am are my thoughts. time is an arrangement of planets and we arrange our lives around it. perhaps he is imagining a life without the circles...a life where the world is flat and you can get 'washed over the side' into space. (the train derailment is breaking out of the circles? or his mind breaking away from the conformity and predictability of the circles?). perhaps he is imagining what it would be like to look at the circles from the outside...but who is he without the circles? He is a part of the circles. The circles live through him. He is the circle. The circle lives in him. all I am is all I'm taught, all I am is my thoughts. What exists outside of the circuits?

(God is 7. Man is 5. God is a straight line.)

haha great comment

The meaning is well put. ... Even if Frank Black stated the meaning of the song, he is not the kind of person that would say something meaningful with the words he thinks in his head. He is smarter than that, because he knows that it is complex for others to understand, so he puts it out with an analogy that is easily accepted by the majority of society.

The song is about questions, afterdeath,(he sees in the sky in his backyard the very same as the frontyard, but the reason for backyard is because the entire message is about "coming back"...

With a pet at my side, (best friend/true love) (mans best friend) could be animal, but it all depends on whoever or whatever you project true love to. God freezes him to the ground, so he cannot move (he is dead)

so he cannot ride life... but one more time he will be able to ride life. (all over the world) (when yin and yang die, they will ride all over the world (what humans/living creatuers, land/sky [cannot do] because there is good and bad in life, (karma)... but maybe they will make it into a ride, (like a rollercoaster... where the scariest/terrifying rides are enjoyable... bad is good, good is bad...

(fish depicts "they") (time depicts the ride)[arranged rollercoaster] (all my thoughts depict derangement)

after death, the other side is the birth of your life is in the form of your love, so u live the exact opposite way you have lived)

two feet land on a different ground. you can't even speak (just reborn) (u cant live easily) life isnt ez... (fish all of them speak, all over the world) fish ride on a water tide that is all over the world,... if there is an upcoming apocolypse, it would mostly be a world wide flood...

understanding alien language is translating an impossible language (because its alien) like understanding PERFECTION...its an undefined existance only displayed through things such as expression

or thats what he wants you to think

@Neeble This is as close to what was in Franks mind as possible I think. This combined with @upsy said.

((we all get our own interpretation))...this song is about a man who's feeling alone and look outside himself to find someone. Maybe a pet, God, aliens or just someone that's on the other side of the moon. "you can't even speak" because no one can really understand you. "But all of them speak". Cause even if no one understand you, you continue to speak. And I really think that the person that's on the other side of the moon, the one that you can't reach, is the only one you wanted to reach. Then you will meet him/her "over there", but you can't show him/her who you are because you don't know it. "all i am...What i'm not" __KiNuS ;) (i'm italian, by the way)

Waah! Do I insane to you when I say that I want to cry every time I listen to this song because I think the music is just that beautiful? :o

About the mars and/or the moon: The sea of tranquility; the plains of mars with no herds or birds; pets paving the way for human space travel; astronauts looking like deep sea divers in slow motion, stepping out of the capsule, two feet land on a different ground; the baking temperatures in the day, freezing at night....

@Phonophobe And the fuzzy talking in between the singing at the end reminds me of the communications from astronauts, at least in the early years

The song is very surreal, it reminds me of my thoughts.

I think it's about somebody with few self-esteem. And gradually losing hope. About all those strange thoughts in somebody's head.

You can't live easily. You can't even speak. But all of them speak. Time is an arrangement. Time is an arranger. I AM A DERANGEMENT.

I don't think it's about few self-esteem. I think it's like feeling trapped in a programmed, meaningless existence. "time is an arranger, I am a derrangement" sums it all up

Fuckin shit! This song is awesome, these people were great and so underrated... Pure introspection and paranoia, to stand still, listening to this tune and meditate from this great group.
