I lost myself when I looked in your eyes
I tried to disguise myself.fear inside the suffering moved and breathed our hands
silhouettes against the sky I lost myself
when spoken words agreed.shall we dance again?
poems may suprise
stolen pearl caught my eye stole the truth
from my heart.fear inside
where were you hope to chain this memory?
we could have been the last time.show me the
sigh of the side of chance.hold tommorow one foot
in and one foot out.are you strong enough?
pitiful boy.I lost myself in moments embrace
I saw the lie come clear.fear inside
fallen now child run away I tried to reveal
myself but fear inside where were you?
help unchain this memory

this is the baddest fuckin song ever i love it
i agree.
my favorite thing is all the mumbling and vocal improvising jeremy does. because of this there are any number of interpretations one can get out of the things he says: for instance when I sing this song LOUD in my car... i sing it as "where where you? wanted me chained to this memory. we could have been the last time. show me the sigh, this side of chance. hold tomorrow with one foot in and one foot out?" that is to say i'm sure any of us know what its like to string along (or be strung along by) someone. when you're the one being strung along you can almost hear the subtle contempt held by the other persons apathy whispering... "are you strong enough, pitiful boy?" as if to say "if you just hang in there a bit longer maybe this could be something..." but of course from the author's perspective, "we could've (or rather should've) been the LAST time," we went through this. from the other perspective... that of the "stringer," we realize it is not apathy that does this. we sit with "one foot in and one foot out," unsure of the next step. perhaps having been hurt in the past and unwilling to fully commit. either way the part where he really loses and belts it out is the same from either perspective. such a good song
i'm surprised there hasn't been much written about this song. this song still remains my favorite of all time and i'm not sure why. i don't even know the lyrics. the song just seems to grab me in a way like no other. it has the nice mellow part and then it gets all angry. maybe i'm not reading into it very much but it's just a great song to listen to in any mood.
"i lost myself when i looked in your eyes i tried to disguise myself fear inside"
that line tells how i was with someone i loved. i absolutley love this song.
i love this song. its so cute and heart-breaking
anyone know if it's a follow on from 47? it sounds like it...the lyrics have similarities.
I love how this song starts out all calm and wandering and accelerates into the screaming at the end. I love that screaming...It doesn't seem pointless to me as in most screamo bands these days.
Anyway, this song reminds me of a person's mind where you think about something close to you. You bring it up in your mind randomly and as you start to think more about it, your emotions are released on it.
the screaming is the best part of this song...its defenitly not fake...you can just feel jeremy's broken heart coming out of his screams....Are you strong enough, pitiful boy?
im glad to see some other people appreciate this song as much as i do. i dont even really know why it's so good to me, everytime it gets into the heavy part with that amazing guitar part screaming, i get major chills. ive been trying to find a good guitar tab for this song for so long, and i still haven't. i can't figure out the melodic part, but the heavy part is kind of easy to understand. anyone have/know of any good tabs?
are you strong enough? pitiful boy. love that
