The Holy Filament Lyrics
In fiber optic illusion
The flickering eyes
By flourescent lights
Supplicate before machines,
Self-reflecting
The legend of modernity:
The phosphenes explode
God's eternal strobe
Through the holy filament,
Graven image
The flickering eyes
By flourescent lights
Supplicate before machines,
Self-reflecting
The legend of modernity:
The phosphenes explode
God's eternal strobe
Through the holy filament,
Graven image

I know that Trevor Dunn wrote this one and someone said it is about string theory. I don't know much about that. I really dig this song, and in my own way this made sense to me.
Our dream world today, we, us or the entranced pray to the new God in our own narcissistic ways.
The old story is new That God created light, told with a new sorcery of lies, Consciousness through mass memory (www) Carved out a new age of idolatry.

This has something to do with a space time theory dont know exactly but its a theory against the big bang that the universe wasnt made out of nothing in a sudden explosion but there was to begging nor end, the theory is something like space time is a continuous string or something dont listen to me im stoopid :(
This song is about Scientology, and how they are essentially idol worshippers with their little light machines

I really like the piano in this song.
A "light" theme is all over the song, therefore it resembles big bang and it's somehow combining big bang and creation theories, or describing probabilistic existence of life in a more poetic/dramatic way because you can feel both the cold of space and divinity.
sorry, i meant to say "but there was no beggining nor end"
c im stoopid :(
