When I'm looking in your eyes
Everything seems to fade away
After all these years we had do I know you now
Have I trusted blindly in your love, too many times

You said: "hey, my love, I'm sorry but we can't go on 'cause
I'm in love with someone else"
Tell me, what do you want me to say
When you treat me this way

Oh I love you, maybe?
And I hope it goes away
How I want you daily
I know it's gonna stay

You are so self satisfied
Always ready for a ride
Double crossing, lousy cheat, love you anyway
You have warm and tender devils soul, you are so low

I can hear you say: "I'm sorry, should we still go on,
I'm not in love with that someone else"
Tell me, what do you want me to say
When you treat me this way

Oh I love you, maybe?
And I hope it goes away
How I want you daily
Tell me now that

I have found the whore in you
Why can't I tell you no
Time will show, the last word is for me
If you fail to see the problem we have, one room full of walls
Jar of love isn't dry until the last drop falls

The moment I will step aside, you're ready for another ride
Walking in the cool night air without underwear
You have red light burning in your soul, I've seen the glow

In every dream I have I say: "I'm not in love with you"
But every day I say I do
You have messed with my head so many times
Forced me to love you

Now that
I have found the whore in you
Why Can't I tell you no
Time will show, the last word is for me
If you fail to see the problem we have, one room full of walls
I will try until the last drop falls

Now that
I have found the whore in you
Why Can't I tell you no
Time will show, the last word is for me
If you fail to see the problem we have, one room full of walls
I will try until the last drop falls

This song is about a boy who doesn't have enough self-respect or strength to ease himself out of the grip of some manipulative, emotionally blackmailing, openly unfaithful, and just plain scary lover. English isn't the band's first language, but the lyrics can be so frank--"Always ready for a ride"--that it can, after many listenings, still make me blush.

This song is about a man who is in love with a woman who is clearly unfaithful.. and also seems to be a prostitute.

"The moment I will step aside, you're ready for another ride Walking in the cool night air without underwear You have red light burning in your soul, I've seen the glow."

The "red light" refering to the red light district.

Disagree. Red light district? She seems to be a girl that is a bit unsure if she still loves the person that sings the song. She get back to him every time, and he accepts her cheating because he loves her until the last drop falls.

This reminds me of a girl I once knew, and fell in love with. She kept playing with me, going between another guy and I. Guys came and went, but one thing was certain, she would come back to me. I finally got enough smarts to leave. Just my two cents on how it can relate to an average person :-D

Fucoc, I totally agree with you, the girl first tells him that she's in love with someone else, that she wants to leave him, then, she regrets and want him back, and that's why the guy it's so confused, he doesnt know what to do, but he loves her a lot, that's why he fall over and over again on her cheatings..he will always forgive her because he loves her, but she is a total whore :D

I was wondering what about the part "one room full of walls" what that is supposed to mean? to many things dividing them, is this what he want's to say... they arrived to a point where it seems that are dozens of walls between them?

Was wondering about this, today xD

To me this song along with No Dream Can Heal A Broken Heart.

This man is clearly in love with this woman. The woman is his dreams, his love, his life. The woman however has feelings for him, but not as strong as his feelings are towards her.

I think when he sings about her loving someone else and that they can't go on the girl is a player. But the man is a fallback stone for her. She has him in the corner and where she is lookign at other guys but even though the other guys don't fall through or she has slept with them she knows that the man who loves her dearly is there for her and always will be and she is playing on that.

Until near the end the man grows sense and realises that all she brings him is pain and he has to walk away.

Just my thoughts on the song as I can relate.

The song is about talking/ arguing with your beer or ale.

Next time you have a drink, think about the lyrics and how alcohol affects you and what you think about. The lyrics make more sense when you realise it's about you having a love/ hate relationship with your alcohol.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
