This song is one of "Thursdays" best written song. Since this song isnt Cross out the Eyes or any other song they have began to play on MTV2 I guess its not so "popular". I think this song and the fans which follow is represent Thursdays true fans and not just the bandwagon crew. If you know what I mean.
this is an awesome song, i love it. the violins at the beginning make it sound so cool.
i think that the song is about just sort of wandering through life, seeing the things that are beautiful, and trying to make the best of it, but still having to cope with all the ugliness and grief that comes along with it. its about how hard it is to live and watch the world suffer at the same time, and how hard it is to try to remain positive in the face of all the negative. "This searching for what we may never find And that says it all." exactly, it does say it all. we have to search for happiness, even though we know we very well may never have it.
Geoff is singing about how he has learned to live with all the pain he sees in the world. So he just watches the world continue to beat the shit out of itself, while he searches for brightness.

sweeet first comment of the year for this song. i love it and yes thursday is emo but more screamo. love the song.
its so short, but theres so much meaning even in just the first two lines.
it may be about geoffs friends but in a general sense i think that this song is a little reminder of how hard it may be to just get through a day sometimes and how hopeless it may feel.. but thats part of life for everyone,,and he is recognizing that through the lyrics.. which in an ironic way should make us all a little more relateable to each other.
we should definitly have more compassion for each other..
but yea this song delivers that message
