It Ain't Over 'til It's Over

I can't believe no one has commented on this song yet! It's such a good song. I think the songs quite obviously about a rough relationship, but no matter what happens they stay together.

Basically he won't give up on their relationship, no matter how tough it gets.

Kravitz wrote this about actress Lisa Bonet. They had broken up and he was trying to reconcile their relationship. They are now just good mates.

This is one of my favourite songs, i know this probably isn't necessariy the meaning of the song, but i think of someone i like going elsewhere yet knowing not to dwell on it until it's actually over; It aint over 'til it's over.

This song is about fighting for your love. It was created by Lenny Kravitz as an answer to his crisis in his marriage in the early nineties with an american actrice. Wonderful song, expressing a lot everyone might have felt in a relationship in a similar way. At the end, it's kinda tragic song too, cause Kravitz was divorced in 1993 or 94 depite the fact he "tried to keep the love alive". so long.

About a difficult relationship but showing a willingness to not give up and the hope to reconcile the relationship. I also get the feeling that its saying not to worry because the love is strong and you are very powerfully connected to your specific person when its right.

I am surprised too, the libertine is right it's such a good song, Lenny Kravitz isn't respected enough for me, such a good musician. The song is about a relationship that is going through a rough time, well has for awhile it seems and they always seem to stick together. It's class, what a tune.

Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of the last months of the Soviet Union and it's relationship with the United States. It was 1991, and the Soviet Union was doomed.

This song is beautiful, and makes me emotional. I think it's about real love, and how love is not always easy, he talks about the dark side of love, that sometimes it takes work, sometimes you may go through hard times and you have to try to keep your love alive. I realised something which I don't think many people realised but i love how it starts with "so many years we've tried to keep our love alive" and it changes from "tried to keep" to "and kept our love alive" . Almost as if all the hardship was worth it. That they always figured things out together, and always practiced forgiveness and compassion and started over in the act of unconditional love. This is a rare type of love especially in this generation. Nobody thinks it's over until it's over. Everybody wants to run as soon as things get hard
