Enlighten the Disorder (By a Monster’s Hand Part 2) Lyrics

Holding, holding on to a box of slaughter
Breathing, breathing heavenly to destroy

Rebuilding all the monsters in the attic
And the pieces brings him back
The severed heads and broken bones
Are the fairy tale of his darkest past

Crawling, crawling in the stench of the horrors
Feelings, feelings are as numb as the floor

Rebuilding all the monsters in the attic
And the pieces brings him back
The severed heads and broken bones
Are the fairy tale of his darkest past

Fall into the deep
The podium box will crumble in the real light

Silent is the key
Better locked up and never to see the light

Breaking, breaking every bone of his own
Coming, becoming the box
The show is over

Rebuilding all the monsters in the attic
And the pieces brings him back
The severed heads and broken bones
Are the fairy tale of his darkest past

Fall into the deep
The podium box will crumble in the real light

Silent is the key
Better locked up and never to see the light

Fall into the deep
The podium box will crumble in the real light

Silent is the key
Better locked up and never to see the light

In a recent track-by-track with Rocksound.TV, Michael Poulson went into what the story this song is trying to tell, explaining that it's a continuation of the song 'By a Monster's Hand'. He says that it finds the serial killer in his new home. "In the grand finale, he opens his box and makes a puppet show out of real human bones and skin. He becomes so obsessed with his own theater that he wants to put himself in the box that he has all these body parts in. He crumples himself into it and starts to cut off his own limbs and body parts, then the play is over and the key to the box is lost on the floor with him inside of it.”

If you want to go deeper into it, it's a macabre story of a killer's fixation that becomes so extreme that he mutilates himself to become part of the performance, ultimately trapping himself in the box, symbolizing self-destruction through obsession and the loss of identity. The lost key possibly suggests there's no escape from the madness he created, emphasising the themes of isolation, artistic obsession, and psychological collapse.
