This is a classic summer old-school rock 'n' roll love song where Michael Poulsen sings about a summer romance he fears is nearing its end. But rather than going their separate ways, he pleads with the girl to stay with him.
Doug Corcoran from JD McPherson's band guest performs a roaring sax solo, helping contribute, along with his bandmate, pianist Raynier Jacob Jacildo, to the song's retro rock and roll vibe. Both musicians had already worked with the band, appearing on the track "Die To Live," from their 2019 album "Rewind, Replay, Rebound." Singer Mia Maja, who had worked with the band on their 2016 album "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie," also features on backing vocals. This song was also written and recorded during the coronavirus pandemic. The track is a product of the band working together remotely.
