Will I ever love the same way again? (Way again)
Will I ever love somebody like the way I did you?
Never thought you'd be so damn hard to replace
I swear I don't mean to be this way
If I can't have you, is love completely off the table?
Do I sit this one out and wait for the next life? (Next life)
Am I too cold? Am I not nice?
Might not be quite yet healed already
Should I be goin' too steady? (Too steady)
But I just wanna know is love completely off the table?

Will you be there? (Will you be there?)
Can I still love you? (Can I, can I?)
Not yet healed already (not ready)
Should I be goin' too steady? (Too steady)
Just wanna know is love completely off the table?

I'll wait for you
Even though it always feels like I'll be number two
To someone you can't hold anymore
If you let me in, I'm ready to give you what I couldn't before
'Cause I got you, girl
Let me help you through it
You're tryna fill the void with a couple boys
I can see right through it (you can see right through it)
I can love you harder than I did before
Was in a dark place back then
I was toxic, then I was toxic to someone else
I was haunted by the hills (oh yeah, yeah)
I couldn't give you my all, but I will
If you let me in your arms
If you let me in your heart
I don't think that love's completely off the table

Will you be there? (Yes, I will be there for you)
Can I still love you? (Yes, I been hurt before, before)
Not yet healed already (not ready)
Should I be going too steady? (Too steady, no, no)
Just wanna know is love completely off the table?

So can you hold me?
If I let you, can you prove it to me? (I wanna know)
'Cause I need you to calm me down, babe
Gotta get out of my head (oh, whoa)
Tryna be healed from this pain (oh)
Just wanna know, just wanna know, know, know, baby (hey)

Can you touch like you believe in it, baby?
Let me think you never gonna leave on me, baby
'Cause I ain't her and you ain't him, thankfully (baby, don't leave)
But it's gon' be hard to let someone else in again (whoa)
Baby, baby (woo-hoo)

Will you be there? (Will you be there? I'll still wait, I'll still wait for you, baby)
Can I still? (oh, no-no, no)
Not yet healed already (not ready)
Should I going too steady? (no, no, no)
Just wanna know is love completely off the table, baby?

I swear, I swear
I will wait for you whenever you need
Ooh, ooh

This standout song off Ariana's latest album titled 'Positions' was produced by Mr. Franks, Shintaro Yasuda, Travis Sayles & TBHits. The track was released on October 30, 2020.

What the artist means Ariana is taking nothing for granted on this record with the heartbreak icon Weeknd. She's crooning about a breakup that left her super depressed because the dude is just so hard to replace, she's super hurt and lets us know on this record, she's using autotune expertly here to convey her hurt. Weeknd steps in and sing so tragically about a love tale gone wrong, he tried to help her through the phase but that ended up with her ending things with him. Now he's hunted by the hills, even though he couldn't give her his all, he's sad that she left him in the lurch. Ariana is crooning in the background about not being properly healed all through the process, she wants his memories to get out of her head but it's so dang hard. Weeknd knows this and he's crooning with equal pain as if he's drinking from the same stream of heartbreak as Ariana.

What the song means to me The song is the quintessential break-up track that sees both artists swap tales of love stories gone astray and they are cringing with the residue pain. Ariana gives one of her best vocal performances for ages but even that couldn't know Abel off his perch as his falsetto owned the track. This track reminds me of so much unfinished business and I'm oddly feeling the hurt that both artists are singing about. The track is that powerful. I will give this song a rating of 8/10.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
