The love that you gave, keeps me here
And calling out your name, keeps me here
For the light was not there
For years, upon years

Maybe the way you walk
Will show me just how to talk
Myself into being here
Draw close, pull near

Holding your hand, keeps me here
And all the ways you stand, keeps me here
For the light was not there
For years, upon years

Maybe the way you walk
Will show me just how to talk
Myself to sleep
Nightmares on repeat

Your insight, beautiful, beautiful
And your insides, beautiful, beautiful
And your insight, beautiful, beautiful
And your insides, beautiful, beautiful
And your insight, beautiful, beautiful
And your insides, beautiful, beautiful
And your insight, beautiful, beautiful
And your insides, beautiful, beautiful

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Warren wanted a Beach Boys thing for this one, and Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche came in, with Carl arranging the vocal parts. The other harmony vocalists (credited as the "Gentlemen Boys") were Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, Zevon's longtime backers Waddy Wachtel and Jorge Calderon, and Linda Rondstadt/Stone Poneys guitarist Kenny Edwards.

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
