I feel this song is about Lana Del Rey. They have done several songs together and she has mentioned that she's going to keep putting out as many records as she can while she's still young and able to do it. It's just fitting that this song is about her.

The Weeknd underlines the solitude of her lifestyle, and her inability to truly love. Yet, he simultaneously remarks upon her wish to succeed and become a wealthy individual. Kill off all her feelings = The prostitute must discard of any emotional attachment to a client because it would make her vulnerable and open to hurt.
