You Will Know Lyrics
Walk the lonely streets
without a home
Dear Mary, where's the kids
When did they leave?
Where did they go?
Feel the morning breeze,
after all these years
Been so far away, in a prison cell
I no longer wanna feel
the darkness in my soul
Forever, forever you will know
Forever and ever, you will know
Here I sit again, lost at your place
I brought the flowers that I know you like
For you and my dear
All the memories, after all these years
Couldn't find a way
Never been the same
I no longer wanna feel
the darkness in my soul
Forever, forever you will know
Forever and ever, you will know
I'll find the peace alongside the road
And make believe there's a
sign for us all
The innocence, that I know I behold
Will set my spirit free, so long
Forever, forever you will know
Forever and ever you will know,
that I love you
without a home
Dear Mary, where's the kids
When did they leave?
Where did they go?
after all these years
Been so far away, in a prison cell
I no longer wanna feel
the darkness in my soul
Forever and ever, you will know
I brought the flowers that I know you like
For you and my dear
Couldn't find a way
I no longer wanna feel
the darkness in my soul
Forever and ever, you will know
And make believe there's a
sign for us all
The innocence, that I know I behold
Will set my spirit free, so long
Forever and ever you will know,
that I love you

What I can read from this(which is quite a clear message), is that the singer is a man who's just been released from prison where he has served his time (some points indicate that he might be innocent even) and is determined to stay a law abiding citizen because he has a family, a wife and a daughter, but when he arrives to their old home, he finds it empty, that his wife and daughter don't live there anymore. He is very sorry for what happened and even brought his wifes favourite flowers, but no one is there to receive them. Holy shit the feels are coming strong... Anyway, he decides to keep living his life, as an honest man, and hopes he'll maybe get to see his loved ones someday.
@Jermu97 You couldn't be more right. In fact it is the final chapter of a story told by Volbeat in 3 previous songs. If you listen this songs in this order, you will get the whole story: 1) Danny & Lucy (11PM) 2) Mr. and Mrs. Ness 3) Mary Anns Place 4) You Will Know. It is indeed a heartbreaking story.

This song ends the story of Danny & Lucy Ann in a sorrowful telling of Lucy's father, who finds it hard to continue living without his wife and daughter. Frequently, he visits their graves with fresh flowers each time, telling them that forever well, you will know that I love you.
