Well, he was a travelling man,
Fell in love with a girl named Katie,
And Katie loved him back tenfold,
But he had an eye for the ladies.
Katie found out about his indiscretions,
On the day he departed,
She always knew, one day, that he’d move on,
But he left Katie broken-hearted.
And it knocked her to the floor,
It shocked her to the core,
When he was busted,
She knew he couldn’t be trusted.
I went with him to the train station,
And that’s where Sarah caught my eye,
And though he was leaving for a distant destination,
I was too preoccupied to say goodbye.

‘Cos if it did, it was stood before me,
