Wrapped up in dissonance
I'm sorry that I just walked away
Lost in the insignificance of mine
I had no words to say
Now I am better, I implore you to say it isn't right
But somewhere deep in history
Your father pulled your teeth out of your face

Hold it in here, let's go dancing
I do believe we're only passing through
Wired again, now look who's laughing
You again, oh you, oh you, oh you

Hold it in, now let's go dancing
I do believe we're only passing through
Wired again, now look who's laughing
Me again, all fired up on you

And mow she's caught between
What to say and what she really means

Wrapped up in empathy
The chemicals are pushing past my blood
Hold all my cliches there you're tipping my tongue
To tell you that it's love

Oh hold it in, now let's go dancing
I do believe we're only passing through
Wired again, now look who's laughing
You again, oh you, oh you, oh you

Hold it in, now let's go dancing
I do believe we're only passing through
Wired again, now look who's laughing
Me again, all fired up on you

And now she's caught between
What to say and what she really means
And I am finally coloring
Inside the lines that I live between

Hold it in there, let's go dancing
I do believe we're only passing through
Wired again, now look who's laughing
You again, oh you, oh you, oh you

Hold it in, now let's go dancing
I do believe we're only passing through
Wired again, now look who's laughing
Me again, all fired up on you

    My Interpretation

'Wrapped up in dissonance, I'm sorry that I just walked away. Lost in the insignificance of mine, I have no words to say.'

The top half of the first stanza seems to be about someone (person 1) who is having second thoughts from a relationship they just walked out of (because of a large argument or fight), and if they really think that they are worthy to have person 2 still but can't seem to grasp why they would be

'Now I am better, I implore you to say it isn't right. But somewhere deep in history, your father pulled the teeth out of your face.'

The base of the first stanza is person 1 saying that they are better then they were in the past, that they want to get back together, and that they have changed and they seem to be trying to get person 2 to spot something bad that hasn't changed. Person 2 then goes to lie and refuses to say that all the bad stuff has stayed. The line saying 'Your father pulled the teeth out of your face.' is more of a statment saying that the person 2 does not want to say the truth and person 1 is aware that they are trying not to say anything.

'Hold it in now lets go dancing, I do believe we're only passing through. Wired again, now look who's laughing, You again, oh you oh you oh you.'

'Hold it in now lets go dancing, I do believe we're only passing through. Wired again, now look who's laughing Me again, all fired up on you.'

The first round of chorus is person 1, in a last ditch effort to stay with person 2 asks them to dance with them one final time, as a final bit of closure. During this dance, person 1 seems to start feeling the small spark of romantic energy between the two of them.

'Now she's caught between. What to say and what she really means.'

This small part is in person 2's perspective, with person 2 still having feelings for person 1 and wondering if this should be their last time together or if they should get back together.

'Wrapped up in empathy, The chemicals, are pushing passed my blood. Hold all my cliches on the tip of my tounge, to tell you that it's love.'

This stanza is saying that now that persons 1 and 2 are back together, their lives are intertwined and whenever theyre together, they are like drugs to eachother, them being the 'chemicals' that are taking priority over everything else. Person 1 then goes to express all the things that they love about person 2, and that they are deeply in love with them.

'Hold it in, now let's go dancing I do believe we're only passing through Wired again, now look who's laughing, You again, oh you, oh you, oh you

Hold it in, now let's go dancing I do believe we're only passing through Wired again, now look who's laughing, Me again, all fired up on you.'

The chorus is saying now that each time the two are together, whatever they do together just strengthens their relationship together and keeps their happy relationship going.

'And now shes caught between. What to say and what she really means. And I am finally colouring, inside the lines that I live between.'

The way I look at the final line is a happy ending, quite possibly a proposal from person 1 and person two sarcastically saying that they dont know what to do. The song ends with person 1's life finally looking up, and that they will have a good future together.

Thanks for being such an awesome artist Ben, keep up your beautiful works of art.
