One day down by, down by the lake
One day down by, down by the lake
One day down by, down by the lake

Picture yourself standing by a lake
Peaceful on a perfect summer day
Memories are flashing through your mind
You bring yourself back to that place and time
When there was no mountain you could not climb

Open fields and free to wander
Brand new days no rain nor thunder
Time did not mean anything

You look down and see your reflection upon the water
The lines upon your face don't show today
You long to be that young man you were yesterday
But you're at peace with who you are and here you'll stay
It's something that this world can't take away

The winding road sometimes confuses
The fact that we can win by losing
No reward in worldly gain

Daylight slowly turns into the night
And you don't know who you are, you've lost sight
And it's dangerous getting lost inside a world that's not your home
Remember that one day by the lake
when the Spirit made you sure of who you are
So hold on to that feeling once again, once again

One day down by, down by the lake
One day down by, down by the lake
One day down by, down by the lake

Those who seek with eyes wide open
and have a heart to heal the broken
There will be answers
There will be answers
Those who've heard and have the calling
to save another life from falling
There will be answers
There will be answers
Those of us who've turned our back on
the gift of one who gave His own Son
There will be answers
We will see the answers alive

We'll bow down
Every tongue will confess that He is Lord
And all of us
will have to account for what we've done

Some believe the blind can be made to see
with the power of a bended knee
There will be answers
There will be answers
Some live for the here and now
They ignore that there could be a way out
There will be answers
We will see the answers alive

We'll bow down
Every tongue will confess that He is Lord
And all of us
will have to account for what we've done

Does it make you wonder why He gave it all?
He had every reason not to catch us from the fall
Now we never have to wander
Bow down, we'll see You real soon
So, bow down, we'll see You real soon

We'll bow down
Every tongue will confess that He is Lord
And all of us
will have to account for what we've done

Does it make you wonder why He gave it all?
He had every reason not to catch us from the fall
Now we never have to wander
Bow down, we'll see You real soon
So, bow down, we'll see You real soon

And if I fall away
If I fall away
Take me down to the living water
Take me down to the living water
Oh, should I fall away
Take me down to the living water
Take me down to the living water
Ooh, take me down

This beautiful song of reflection was perforemd by none aother than John Elefante and the Band Mastedon. The Elefante brothers,(John and Dino), are more than minor record producers serving the christian and secular music industry. The Band Mastedon served up perhaps the best Arena Rock of the early 1990\'s, giving the big Names, like Journey and Styx a reious run for the money.\nThis song speaks about the saving grace provided thorough Jesus Christ death and resurrection. John sings personally of his walk with Jesus through the years and though his body ages, he has been kept spiritually young through the Holy Spirit.\nEven the most agnostic listeneners if they be honest, will give a thumbs up to the melody and arrangement of this hard rock /arena rock oriented song.\nMusic afficiandos will pick up undertones of the group Kansas when hearing this masterpiece of rock.\n\nPeter

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
