The Essence of Silence

This song immediately made me think of my OCD and what I deal with everyday when an intrusive thought pops into head. This song made me think about how my therapist tells me to handle my obsessions. She tells me to focus on the things around me, things that are real like the presence or absence of sound when I start to get anxious about one of the thoughts. The song's not an exact match its just the first thing I thought about.

I think it's like someone who cannot get rid of a certain memory.This memory is destroying them and they cannot lead normal life.

I think it's talking about a concept were in order to perceive a new world around us we have to look deep inside ourselves and wipe away the memories of this world we physically see, touch and feel. Finding an essence of clarity within that brings us to a new way of thinking.

To me this sounds like it's a discussion about PTSD, where someone who has suffered through something horrendous is being taunted by their own mind and delusions, and even when he closes his eyes, the silence is replaced with their memories, and all they want is for the sounds in their minds to stop.

I think it's about someone who has seen and learnt too many. Suddenly, he starts to feel, that it's too much fot him "Something is wrong My strength has gone Thoughts are corrupting my mind"

Maybe it's just one concrete thing, that he can't stand, e.g. some bad think he did. I think it's possible, but "too much of knowledge" is more oriented on science (and album (or parts) are inspired by the science book "The quantum enigma), so I prefer this interpretation. But sentence "It’s just a dreary memory stuck in your mind" makes me pretty unsure.

So I will continous explaining the "science-oriented meaning" of lyrics His knowledge is not usefull, it's just torturing his mind (remind me some evening, when I can't fall to sleep, becouse of too many thoughts in my mind).

But there's a way from this trouble. Maybe he (or she :) ) should let his all my get clean, empty (allowed the silence to deystroy your thoughs in every kind), but it's also to much. I quite confuse about final sentence "(The essence lies in silence)" Maybe it says that this trying is impossible, that only way to get inner peace, to escape from bad thoughst is to be death (or very empty?).
