Back to sloth and sleeping binges
Self defeating outburst, cringes
Thoughts get rusty, creaky hinges
Lost that box of clean syringes

Stuck to the ceiling I'm in view
Can't shake the notion I'm becoming you
The look from above same as below
Sign up for high, free dose of low

The Jig is up, I'm the one
Manipulate the ones I love
Light my path, reveal the beacon
Where's my balance
Can't stop thinking
Can't stop thinking
Can't stop thinking
Stop

I wear my soul on my sleeve at night
(Searching for substance)
I lose control of my autonomic mind
(Waiting for the impulse)
And I saw the rage burning in your eyes
(Your thoughts intangible)
Follow me down, we'll get paralyzed
(Around the winding road)

Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Feed into the miracle
Don't be fucking cynical
Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Girl don't be so difficult
Come here let's get physical

Sinus pressure getting older
I like weight upon my shoulders
Here I live inside this cd
Tell your friends he's super creepy

Weirded out a simple human
Confused by words arrange and move them
Into spaces no apparent meaning
Eat this song your ears are greedy

Cut out this conversation, desperation, now
Losing admiration, holding onto accidents

(I can turn it off again, I can smile on a whim)
What have I done, what have I done?
(I can make believe in him, the function in the algorithm)
That calls for your attention?
(I can turn it off again, I can smile on a whim)
What have I done, what have I done?
(I can make believe in him, the function in the algorithm)
That keeps you hanging on?

I wear my soul on my sleeve at night
(Searching for substance)
I lose control of my autonomic mind
(Waiting for the impulse)
And I saw the rage burning in your eyes
(Your thoughts intangible)
Follow me down, we'll get paralyzed
(Around the winding road)

Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Feed into the miracle
Don't be fucking cynical
Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Girl don't be so difficult
Come here let's get physical

    Song Meaning

I'd say the whole main idea of this song is, well, through science and everything, the robot died as a robot and was reborn as a man. Became human or... something. The themes would have to be centered around how man doesn't really know their limits with science and try to play God all the time, then they sell all their ideas and artificial ideologies to mankind an those ideologies kinda take over society sand become the new norm, making mankind ignorant for not questioning it. Then science itself become the false god of the people.

I don't know though I'm totally just taking a shot in the dark here

    My Interpretation

I feel like this song is not necessarily about a "robot", but about someone who is different than everyone else. Maybe they were trying to fit in, but in the end, decided to just be themselves and it paid off. (I'm probably wrong, just my interpretation)

    My Interpretation

Personally, I love this song. For my interpretation, I think it tells about the future of mankind. I think like in the bible tells about the rupture.

I see this as tillians initiation to the dgd way of thinking "level up his brain in the fast lane". There seems to be a theme in jon mess's lyrics that I would like to call conscience release, i started noticing it on the self titled album. When kurt travis was singing about love and relationships, jon was basically saying he is above it by saying he chooses not to give a fuck, he fucks whoever. Tillian was clealy going through some self doubt and he is taking will and jon's advice "I take a bow Listen to the crowd My survival is all I think about now". Survival meaning not being beat up by heavy weighing emotions. This song is pretty cool, their basically showing him how to evolve past lowly human, self induced hell and into thriving.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
