Super Collider Lyrics

When you feel life is bringing you down
And you see that you're all alone
When your friends, they have all run out
That is when you will know I'm the one

On the high road, I will take you higher
'Til the world explodes, just like a super collider

This could be all the heaven you see
Life can be wicked, mean, and cold
Could this be the end of your living hell?
Come with me and I'll free your soul

On the high road, I will take you higher
'Til the world explodes, just like a super collider

[Solo: Dave]

Just one thing that I want you to know
You don't need to be on your own
No more feeling left out in the cold
Take my hand and I'll take you home

On the high road, I will take you higher
'Til the world explodes, just like a super collider

this is pretty much dave mustaines understanding of life beyond what we know from perception, and since he is a christian, well its gonna sound like he is talking about his beliefs rather than his underlying idea of it.

"When you feel life’s bringing you down And you see that you’re all alone When your friends they have all run out That is when you will know of the one" ( im pretty sure he says 'of the one' and not 'when to run' ) basically he is describing one of the paths you take before learning truths to reality for yourself

and the chorus is an allegory for going on the path towards 'heaven' and it will take you higher until the world as you know is no longer existent

"This could be all the heaven you see" this world we experience could be all that you will know

"Life can be wicked, mean and cold" obvious what that means

"Could this be the end of your living terror" on this path towards 'enlightenment' you can be liberated from the pains of life

"Come with me and I’ll train your soul good" have faith in your beliefs

and the last verse is just a continuation of the message of the song

I love the bassline.

I think this is a song of hope. The song can easily come off as Dave singing about his beliefs from a superficial perspective, but I think hope and the idea of there being something bigger than you, your problems, society, and the world. There is the promise that there is a bright future that will get brighter. I like the song and see deeper meaning in it, but I've seen it criticized as being sappy, proselytizing, and formulaic. I disagree, but everyone has the right to their opinion. I particularly like the line "life can be wicked, mean, and cruel. The song has a nice way of juxtaposing negatives with positives.

This song reminds me of Never Walk Alone from United Abominatons.
