Temperature is 85, trying to close my eyes,
but something's on my mind
Thinkin' out through all the years
counting all the beers, oh man its been a ride
All those days spent lying on the beach
Thinkin' bout a reality was so out of reach and
though years are catchin' up to me
I light one up and smile because

The mood is right
thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
The moon is bright
thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights

Damn, its good to be free, my friends surroundin' me
we got the willow tree
It's just one of those days, no its not a phase
it's all mentality
At the liquor store pickin' up supplies
Party all night, waitin' for the sunrise
and when the world stops catchin' up to me
I take one back and smile because

The mood is right
thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
The moon is bright
thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
Wastin' time thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
Gettin' high, Thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights

No matter how far you go
(no matter how far you go)
No matter if you've lost control
(no matter if you've lost control)
If your surround by rain and cold
(If your surrounded by rain and cold)
There's always somewhere you can go
And always know

The mood is right
thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
The moon is bright
thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
Wastin' time thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights
Getting high, Thinkin' bout those summer nights
Those summer nights

At a concert this summer, where I first heard Iration they introduced the song like this:

Micah: Everyone, this is a song about something very special to us. Something which I believe is special to all of you too judging by the way you are leaning so far back in your lawn chairs over here.

    Crowd: Cheers uncontrollably

Micah: This is a song about smoking weed in the summertime.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
