I wrote this song for you, yeah

She said I'm in love
Girl I don't believe it
Till I see it with my own brown eyes
I know time flies
But just a couple months ago we were in foreign cities
Drinking bottles of tequila and yesterday she said I'm in love

And she said we're born the same day
She called me up to ask me if I think that's kind of strange
I said maybe you like Gemini's or maybe it's just fate
And then she called me back just to tell me not to wait for her
But I'm waiting for her anyway

Like the last train in the station
A bad doctor, got no patients
I've been hanging in the basement
Playing hangman between takes, so babe
You better be watching the things that you're saying
Sometimes I get lonely and then I get wasted
That shit that you tell me
I have to erase it
So spare me the details

Girl you know I think you are swell
But why you gotta put me through hell?

Don't say you're in love, say you're in love, say you're in love
Cause I'm not giving up, I'm not giving up, I'm not giving up
I know right now you regret me, but you could never forget me
I'm buried somewhere deep inside you're mind
I know right now you regret me, but you could never forget me
I'm buried somewhere deep inside you're mind

Sing it now.

So you say you're in love
And it fits like a glove
They tried to pull that shit with OJ Simpson
But they never had enough evidence
But I'm different cause I kept ever receipt
Doing taxes every night instead of going to sleep

Why you giving your heart away?
I'm gonna call you Sandy Holloway
Thought you were a Bulls fan, Michael Jordan
Call me when you're new man gets too boring

That didn't seem to take long
She called me up and I wrote this song
Figured if I get it out soon enough
I could go all in and call your bluff
What's he got that I don't have
I don't smoke weed, I don't buy bags
I don't go to clubs like that no more
I got a pull up bar on my bedroom door
So I always look good for you, even if I put on a few
You really got something to prove, but I've got nothing left to prove

Cause I lost you in 2010
But I'm trying not to lose you again

Don't say you're in love, say you're in love, say you're in love
Cause I'm not giving up, I'm not giving up, I'm not giving up
I know right now you regret me, but you could never forget me
I'm buried somewhere deep inside you're mind
I know right now you regret me, but you could never forget me
I'm buried somewhere deep inside you're mind

Sing it now
I know you can't forget me
I'm not just you're average Joe

And someone's going to hate me tonight
I'll have some enemies after this one, yeah
But I don't mind.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
