This song is about Justin's grandfather that cheated on his wife. They were together for a really long time and when he did it, and the wife found out it kind of made them realize how they felt about each other. It tested their relationship. Even though it was a HARD TEST... The music video shows this. its obvious when you watch it. I also read an article where justin expresses this. I thought the song was bout Jessica but its saying that "I don't wanna lose you now" so that made me re think it. Thats why i think that this song is really sad but extremely lovely at the same time. It really shows the hurt kind of love that they have.

I feel like the meaning could go 2 ways, one being a person finds another that greatly reflects him, or gets him, and he's about to lose them. The other one is a person who has a lot of problems, and he feels alone with his problems and looking in the mirror makes him feel sad about what he's become, but happy because he know he'll always have himself.

Everyday he looks at the mirror he sees what the love of his life saw. He sees what people he has disapointed have seen. It's a balance between what he wants to me and what is actually is. It's about a narcissist who had no self identity. He took other's identities for self gain and whenever he saw himself in the mirror, he didn't know what to think because he saw role models and lived off their reflection. He didn't know who he was until he fell in love. The love of his life made him realize who he was with her and she brought out the best in him. She cured his narcissism by him being capable of loving another. So everytime he looks in the mirror he saw what she saw when she was with him in the past but she's slipping away and he sees that she's not in his future. Theyre looking at each other and he doesn't ever want her to take her eyes off of him because he loves the person he is when he's with her because she makes him a better person.
