Bannon has said the the song adresses things he left behind in order to pursue art and music. Specifically, its about the death of his dog. His dog's bark and love made him happy. He's grateful to her for her friendship and helping his depression, sorry he wasn't able to spend more time with her because he was on the road, and destroyed now that she's gone. Beautiful song.
