I think this song is about how we are all just skin and bones.How, if you TAKE OUR BONES AWAY, you take away part of our being. " Picking up viscera, tendons and broken remains", going through life through things like breakups, drug addiction, or poverty. Going through the pains of life, because even though those things are awful, they are part of our individual life, and, again, define us.
