Celebrate (Acoustic version) Lyrics
I wanna come home
To the only place I know
Where the trees I planted grow
I wanna come home
Once I get up I feel better
Then I pull myself together
I remember those two letters
It will be o.k.
Everyone says 'now or never'
I say 'only if it's better'
Be a night like this forever
Will we know better
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I'll be just fine
When I see you at the finish line
Doesn't matter if I take my time
I'm coming home
Once I get up I feel better
And I pull myself together
I remember those two letters
It will be o.k.
Everyone says 'now or never'
I say 'only if it's better'
Be a night like this forever
Will we know better
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
You pick me up, I become your china boy
You let me go, a million pieces on the floor
You clean me up, leave me for the world to see
But did you know, it was you that set me free
You pick me up, I become your china boy
You let me go, a million pieces on the floor
You clean me up, leave me for the world to see
But did you know, it was you that set me free
Once again if I feel better
Then I pull myself together
I remember those two letters
It will be o.k.
Everyone says 'now or never'
I say 'only if it's better'
Be a night like this forever
I wanna come home
I wanna come home
I wanna come home
To celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I'll get the whole world to celebrate
I become your china boy
I'm coming home
To the only place I know
Where the trees I planted grow
I wanna come home
Then I pull myself together
I remember those two letters
It will be o.k.
I say 'only if it's better'
Be a night like this forever
Will we know better
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
When I see you at the finish line
Doesn't matter if I take my time
I'm coming home
And I pull myself together
I remember those two letters
It will be o.k.
I say 'only if it's better'
Be a night like this forever
Will we know better
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
You let me go, a million pieces on the floor
You clean me up, leave me for the world to see
But did you know, it was you that set me free
You let me go, a million pieces on the floor
You clean me up, leave me for the world to see
But did you know, it was you that set me free
Then I pull myself together
I remember those two letters
It will be o.k.
I say 'only if it's better'
Be a night like this forever
I wanna come home
I wanna come home
To celebrate
I want the whole world to celebrate
I'll get the whole world to celebrate
I'm coming home

Just an interpretation according to me.
"I wanna come home" I want to go my place of comfort. "To the only place I know" To the place I can be myself. "Where the trees I planted grow" Where the things I've done matter, where I am remembered, where I'm loved. "I wanna come home" That's home; I want to go home.
"Once I get up I feel better" When I pick myself up, I feel better. "Then I pull myself together" Shake off the pain, get hold of myself. "I remember those two letters" "It will be o.k." I remember those words, "it will be ok."
"Everyone says 'now or never'" Everyone's like 'YOLO' "I say 'only if it's better'" But I say, only if it's beneficial. "Be a night like this forever" If it was like this forever... "Will we know better" will people start to know better?
"I want the whole world to celebrate" (x3) I want everyone to be happy. I want everyone to celebrate no matter what they're going through.
"I'll be just fine" I'll be fine... "When I see you at the finish line" when I see you overcome too. "Doesn't matter if I take my time" Doesn't matter if I'm slow. "I'm coming home" I'm will get there; home.
"You pick me up, I become your china boy" I let you have my trust (or love or something else that's precious), I became as fragile as china (glassware) in your hands. "You let me go, a million pieces on the floor" You broke my trust (or other precious thing), watched me fall and get hurt (break into a million pieces). "You clean me up, leave me for the world to see" You treated my pain like it was nothing, like I was making a big deal out of nothing, like I was nothing important, like trash (swept up my broken pieces and threw it in the trash). Everyone who saw me looked down on me too (everyone would see me, the pieces of me in the trash). "But did you know, it was you that set me free" But I learnt from you, from what you did to me. You set me free from that fragile 'china' nature. I'm free, I'm strong.
Just a personal interpretation. Thank you Mika, you're a talented, beautiful, artist.
