This song is really cute. =)
Not a lot of nice, romantic songs out these days. I love this song. The chorus is also increadibly catchy, and Iove the bridge and pre-choruses. It produces such vivid imagery. I love how flirty Tegan's voice is as well

agnyxtsy, I'm generally not one to quibble over meaning... as it is, essentially, a personal thing. but, I disagree with what you're saying. I think it's more about the feelings that exist before sex, before making out even... perhaps even before completely acknowledging what the feelings are. it's that time when you're younger… before expectation, before rejection… a time that is full of only possibility. nothing is unrequited. the crush itself is more than enough. as Tegan said, I believe, it's "love before love."
