Sick and tired of the same story
I've listened to for so many years
I'm still drowning in all your tears
Sometimes I'd wish you disappear
The sacrifices I make for you
I've learned you never approve
The constant frustration under my skin
Is stretching me too far again

Crash, crash
So I can watch you burn
Crash, crash
So I can watch you burn

Please just leave me and go away
I don't want you anymore
Just go away
I don't want you anymore

Buried under endless lies
You use to wear the crown
Through your smiles I see the frown
Your carelessness will bring you down
Every chance you throw away
It's hard to stay by your side
I'm not a puppet to your game
I will leave you in your shame

Crash, crash
So I can watch you burn
Crash, crash
So I can watch you burn

Please just leave me and go away
I don't want you anymore
Just go away
I don't want you anymore

Crash and burn
Crash and burn

Crash, crash
So I can watch you burn
Crash, crash
So I can watch you burn

Please just leave me and go away
I don't want you anymore
Just go away
I don't want you anymore

Please just leave me and go away
I don't want you anymore
Just go away
I don't want you anymore

Crash and burn
Crash and burn

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
