MM is not fanciful idea, like the Devil, but a mortal person who will die like all others AND his true purpose is to explore what is within his own mind.

I think this song is pretty straight forward. Its all about him going back to the girl he wanted before but had moved on from because he thought they would never understand each other. And he finally learnt how to become what she wants him to be, while still being his-new-self.
