And then we're singing songs every time like this, that say

You know (we've come this far by faith)

So ya'll the songs
Leaning on, say

(Leaning on the Lord)
And you know it's trusting
(Trusting in in His holy word)
Oh, He never fails
(He never fail me yet)
Oh, singing (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh)
(He turned around)
(We've come this far by faith)

Don't you know that we
(We've come this far by faith)
Everyday Jesus, and we're leaning
(Leaning on the Lord)
Oh, don't you know, trusting
(Trusting in His holy word)
Oh, He never fail (He never fail me yet)
Somebody join us singing (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh)
(He turned around)
We've come this far by faith)

I will trust in the Lord (yes, I will)
I will trust in the Lord (yes, I will)
I will trust in the Lord (in the Lord)
Till I die
I will trust in the Lord (trust, yes, I will)
I will trust in the Lord
I will trust in the Lord (in the Lord)
Till I die (till I, I'm gonna stay)
I'm gonna stay on the battle field (field, I will)
I'm gonna stay on the battle field (somebody help me say)
I'm gonna stay on the battle field (yes I will)
Till I die
I'm gonna stay on the battle field (yes, I will)
I'm gonna stay on the battle field
I'm gonna stay on the battle field
Till I die (And we used to say, every Sunday they say)
I'm gonna treat everybody right
I'm gonna treat everybody right (yes, I will)
I'm gonna treat everybody right (everybody right)
Till I die (till I die, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm gonna treat everybody right
I'm gonna treat everybody right (yes I will)
I'm gonna treat everybody right
Till I die (till I die, yes I will, yeah, yes, I will, yeah)

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
