Damn, has it been that long? (Haha)
Say what happened since I been gone, homie?
Y'all got the game all wrong man, it's too pretty in here (hmm)
Let's say we take it back to the trap one time

I went from rollin' wit' dem rocks on the block (hey)
To controllin' my position at the top
Of every chart and I will not, stop
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop (like we always do it 'bout this time)
Yeah we go, yeah we go (hey, hey, hey)
Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know (you already know what time it is patna)
Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know (don't look surprised now, nigga)
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop (yeah)
And we go, and we go (it's the king, bitch)

Ayy, in the middle of a fire, I'm so cool
Everybody wonder how I go through
All of this, half of which woulda broke you
Came out smellin' like a rose even more true
Worldwide, bi-coastal, local, niggas I respect
'Cause they more gold poster
'Cause I ain't got it, that don't mean there ain't no tool
You know Bankhead ain't raise no fool (yeah)
Playin' poker with the devil goin' all in
Kickin' doors open just to let my dogs in (come on)
So many rides never catch a nigga walkin'
In a G5 tryna fit a bunch of broads in (yeah)
Then we landin' laughin' (hahaha), chicks with fantastic asses (hey, hey, hey)
Extravagant habitats, as if we never seen tragic happen (hey, hey, hey)
Make magic happen with cash I'm actually catchin' magic
In the market for lavish mansions and NBA expansions
I was passin' out Phantoms in '04, so no dough ain't shit to me
Way past respect you see, but a nigga ain't even half as big as he finna be

I went from rollin' wit' dem rocks on the block
To controllin' my position at the top (Bankhead you hear what's happenin')
Of every chart and I will not, stop
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop
Yeah we go, yeah we go
Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know
Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop (yeah)
And we go, and we go (go, go, go)

So fly, why would I wanna land for?
Everythin' you could ask for and more
Your choice, you could either be a fan or
Hate to see a nigga get a hundred grand for
Bein' a motherfuckin' man, won't stand for
The rap wars, or the goin' back and forth
Nip it in the bud kill it like cancer
But when it rains, then it pours give a damn sure
In France, bonjour, merci, oui (merci, oui)
The same people on tour, on TV (that's us)
They signed him shoulda kept your receipt
Gotta refund 'cause you sure can't see me
Who keeps CD's on repeat, stuck in MP3's two, three weeks
At the gates on the day I was released (hey)
The only time you will ever see me free (whoa)
Big money J, much as you can get for it?
Atlantic Records say just make another hit for me
I tell 'em cut a hundred million dollar check for me
Like it or not, don't lose no respect for me
Never mind what I did, 'cause the best comin'
I'm the king in a game like chess to me
So put the cash in the bag
Give the rest to me, tell the pilot gas up the jet for me

I went from rollin' wit' dem rocks on the block
To controllin' my position at the top
Of every chart and I will not, stop
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop (I done came a long way from Riverdale, baby)
Yeah we go, yeah we go
Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know (yeah), yeah you know (yeah)
Yeah you know (yeah), yeah you know (yeah), yeah you know (yeah), yeah you know (yeah, yeah)
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop (stand on the couch in the club)
And we go, and we go (go, go, go)

I got a new swag and it's a new day
Here we go again Tune, what it do Jay? (What up Tune?)
If you recall, I was the one who used to move yay
Now I gotta new Audemar with a blue face (blue face)
Hoppin' up in G4 jet, no suitcase, whole new wardrobe in a new place
Change clothes if a stain on my shoelace
T.I. roll like sushi, touché
If the king ain't back, who the hell am I?
Bringin' homicide to the gang, no alibi
Can't tell a lie to the judge, I'm guilty
Your honor do you mind the guy tried to kill me
I could still be (yeah), in the trap now (yeah)
AK 'round (yeah), little yay 'round (yeah)
100K downstairs by the trey pound
But if they wonderin' who runnin' the A now?

Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know
Yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know, yeah you know
But we ride, then we roll, and you stop
And we go, and we go (it's the king, bitch)

Say, you know that we ride
In control we don't stop
We gon' blow when we drop
Let you know we on top
Girl we ride, then we roll, then you stop
And we go, and we go
Say, we roll and we ride
In control we don't stop
We gon' blow when we drop
Let you know we on top
Girl we ride, then we roll, then you stop
And we go, and we go (it's the king, bitch)

Prison ain't change me, it made me worse, right Pop?
If I want it, I'ma come get it
I ain't askin' for it, I'm a take it
We takers nigga

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
