Face to the Floor Lyrics

To pick up the tip doesn't mean a lot
Feel inside your draws
If we own the night, then spread it out
Or pack up without a clue

Well, cause by their own
And by default
Time to find the noose

Like your face being forced to the floor

I got a taste of the benefits
Five foot change
There's no better way to hash it out
So let's set up your time to bail

Well, cause now the cracks
Should we intervene?
I hold this albatross

Like your face being forced to the floor
When either way, you're way too close to it all

Pay up, never wait 'em out
Cover...me up, take it all
Take it all

You're
My
Last

Take it all the way...right back down

You
Less
Bless

Pay up, never take it all
Take it all

Like your face being forced to the floor
When either way, you're way too close to it all
Like your face being forced to the floor
Either way, you're way too close to it all

Too close to it all

At the very beginning, I'd like to point out that he says "I was just thinking". Oh, and thrwmyhrtawy, keep your swearing to yourself--it doesn't make you cool.

@MusicStuff0405 thank you for that. I’d like to say that to about 10,000 other morons here also, like the one you said it to.

kaw4f is correct, this song is about Bernie Madoff and people wanting to punch him. The correct lyrics are as follows:

To pick up the tip doesn't mean a lot Fiddle inside your drawers If we own the night, then spread it out Or pack up without a clue

Well... Caused by their own And by default Time to vamonos

Like your face getting forced to the floor

Then I got a taste of the benefits Five foot and change There's no better way to hash it out So let's set up your time to fail

Well... Course now the cracks Should we intervene? I hold this albatross

Like your face getting forced to the floor When either way, you're way too close to it all

Pay up, never wait 'em out Clever Madoff, take it all Take it all

Your...mouth...blessed Take it all the way...right back down Clue...less...mess

Pay up, never take it all Take it all...

Like your face getting forced to the floor (In a league of your own) When either way, you're way too close to it all (You cannot veto the world)

Like your face (like your face) getting forced (getting forced) to the floor (In a league of your own) When either way (either way) you're way too close to it all To it all...

great song

Madoff is a pimp tho

It could have a dual meaning of a sexual nature, but probably wasn't intended to. Before I read the lyrics and saw the video I thought it was...well...something rather rough yet sensual. I love the song, the guitar and drums are fantastic.

My Opinion

Could someone please explain what this line means

“Well... Course now the cracks Should we intervene? I hold this albatross”

Are these even the correct lyrics? I don’t know, I always hear different lyrics than what everyone else thinks they’re hearing.

I don’t really care what lyrics are listen on the media. I hear what I hear. You hear what you hear. We’re both right and we’re both wrong. Every song is open to our own interpretation to some degree.
