Thursday Lyrics
I love her today
Cause it Wednesday I won't be late
Now I need to know
If you'll feel when I'm free
Not on Monday Tuesday Wednesday Friday Saturday Sunday
But on Thursday
Not on Monday Tuestday Wednesday Friday Saturday Sunday
But on Thursday
Make sure you are thirsty on Thursday
Baby get ready for Thursday
Are you on it on Thursday
Cause we on Thursday
Baby the only Thursday
Yeah
Girl I tried, girl I tried
I've been here for too long
Baby don't cry I hear you calling again
But it's not Thursday
Baby why you calling
Not on Monday Tuesday Wednesday Friday Saturday Sunday
But on Thursday
Not on Monday Tuestday Wednesday Friday Saturday Sunday
But on Thursday
Make sure you are thirsty on Thursday
Baby get ready for Thursday
Are you on it on Thursday
Cause we on Thursday
Baby the only Thursday
Yeah
Thursday
Thursday
Thursday
Thursday
Cause it Wednesday I won't be late
Now I need to know
If you'll feel when I'm free
But on Thursday
Not on Monday Tuestday Wednesday Friday Saturday Sunday
But on Thursday
Make sure you are thirsty on Thursday
Baby get ready for Thursday
Are you on it on Thursday
Cause we on Thursday
Baby the only Thursday
Yeah
I've been here for too long
Baby don't cry I hear you calling again
But it's not Thursday
Baby why you calling
But on Thursday

Baby get ready for Thursday
Are you on it on Thursday

I honestly think this song is just about the singer meeting up with up a girl only on the day Thursday (maybe because she is in a relationship?). But anyways, on any day of the week that she wants to see the singer he won't let her because Thursday is their day, which explains the song title.
I think maybe he's always working (he IS a celebrity after all) and maybe Thursday is his only day off. This song could mean that he knows how much she wants to see him and she wants it to be ANY day of the week but it's Thursday *no, ifs, ands, or buts) and the part when he says "Girl I try." or "Can I try?" is him consoling her for wanting and needing to see him. Basically, he's being the man and comforting her the best he can :-) At least that's my take on it :-)
