I'm hard to work with
Fuck it leave all that on there man
Real life situations
You could probabaly take that hour off
But have it on that I ask to take it off
Fuck it leave it

[Verse 1]
Bottles pop, joints rolled
With my folks, in the VIP
Section of the club with my eyes on this model chick
I dont know who she came with
She look like someone famous
She knew every word to my song when the DJ played it
I asked her what her name is
She smiled when she said it
Right now I dont remember but it sounded like somethin spanish
I offered her champagne and she told me she don't drank it
I told her I wanna see her naked
She said lil boy who you playin with
My next thought was ok then
I'm obviously dealin with a lady
I apologized for my statement
And we kept on conversatin
She noticed we was blazin
She took a couple puffs of the haze and
She wrote her number down on a napkin
And after that she vanished

[Chorus]
Now, she on my mind
Can't get this bitch off my mind
She on my mind cant get this bitch off my mind
The shit affectin my rhymes
I'm havin trouble memorizin my lines
Cuz this bitch on my mind
Gotta get this bitch off my mind

[Verse 2]
Now im outside of the club
Me and my homies all fucked up
Tipped valet, hopped back in the truck
Whole ride home I was thinkin bout her
Thought bout callin her but I didnt
I didnt wanna call round all my niggas
Cuz they drunk asses will be laughin an gigglin
And i aint in the mood for all that ribbin
I just waited till i made it to the crib and
Attempted to call while watchin television
Whack ass cellphone trippin
Only get the strong signal when I'm in the kitchen
Walked in and dialed them digits
While the phone ringin
I'm thinkin bout her in different positions
Answer machine, voice sound different
"Thank you for callin popeyes chicken?"
Bitch

Bitch get off my mind
Gotta get that bitch off my mind
Bitch get off my mind
Gotta get this bitch off my mind
This bitch wasn't even that fine
I only seen this bitch one time
Why I got this bitch on my mind
I'mma get this bitch off my mind

I ain't gonna dub her and shit cause
Fuck that bitch
I ain't gonna give her three, you know stacks or something
Cause the shit really did happen
Real life Thursday night
Bitch you could've just said you were straight
Not give me no bogus number
Bitch you must not have known
You were singing the words like you knew me
And then you ain't give me the right number
You could not have known
It's Spitta, they jump at that
Fuck wrong with you
That's why I don't come in LA talking about it
Syke I be in that bitch everytime I'm in the city
See what I forgot though
The bitch had the nerve to hit the weed two times
What was the point of that
You could've just said like
"Let me hit the weed"
I would've let you hit the weed
We wouldnt have needed no conversation or nothing
You could've just hit the weed and keep it moving
Wasting my time and yours thats just not smart
You can't get those minutes back
Spitta
Fly Society
Yeah man, I'm done

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
