This one is very straightforward but if you don't know Michael's life story I hope this helps you out.
He is just a man and can only do so much to change what's around him. When he sets a goal, makes a plan he uses his will power to ignore personal problems (temporarily) and focuses on achieving the plan. This perhaps delays the mending of relationships in his family but it's still important to him and something he will get to
When Michael was in Australia as a kid, his dad went to Hong Kong for Business a lot and while he was away his mother left town, to Los Angeles, taking Michael with her but leaving his brother alone at home.
Because they're flesh and blood, there will be nothing said or done that can't be fixed and they will be able to mend their relationships.
His brother Rhett had very long battle with drug addiction (he killed some pain) An acknowledgement of his issues and alluding to the reasons why leading to acceptance and forgiveness
