Blood In The Ink Lyrics
It's time go get the gun the one your family's hiding from sleeping in the dresser drawer do pull this trigger I implore kill your parents then yourself push your life right off the shelf die for metal leave this hell take this eath of plaphemation when asked to kill you won't or will casting aside the weak when lord belail your name he calls conquer or wallow in defeat blood in the ink the unholy writ of contract for your soul of your feeble peasant minds we have control we yank these hidden strings the ones that curtain drinketh deep now this cup of poison and drag a blade right through your veins slaughtering every soul around you of mortality you'll take the reigns you've broken your bones in violent ritual tattooed black your flesh in our name we ask you now to wield the razor at our commant you'll worship pain, pain caligraphy in crimson ink think and dark each stroke I hereby swear my life to him here is the sacred parchment now part with your skin and sign below when asked to kill you won't or will casting aside the weak when lord belail your name he calls conquer or wallow in defeat our blood is satan's blood in the ink drinketh deep now this cup of poson and drag a blade right through your veins slaughtering every soul around you of mortality you'll take the reigns you've broken your bones in violent ritual tatood black your flesh in our name we ask you now to weild the razor at our commend let your life drain

I believe this song's about how impressionable teenagers are to music and how they'll listen to anything their favorite band says in their lyrics. Mainly due to the "Die for metal" line, along with lines about getting tattoos in their name and such.
I would have to agree with you there. Love the satire this song invokes.

Alot of these lyrics are incorrect. I don't know if they came from the book or not, if so they're most likely typo'd. After listening to the intro multiple times over, I've determined this is what is said, haven't gone through the rest yet, but the song seems to be a play against parents and media attacking metal music and religious beliefs about teen suicides and killing sprees.
It's time go get the gun The one this family's hiding from Sleeping in the dresser drawer Do pull this trigger I implore Shoot your parents then yourself Push your life right off the shelf Die for metal leave this Hell Take this oath of blasphemation When asked to kill You won't or will Casting aside the weak When lord Belail Your name He calls Conquer or wallow in defeat Blood in the ink!

This song is obviously about obeying commands from satan, and signing away your life to his will. Definitely disgusting lyrics.

Actually, it's about Belial, the brother to Satan, not Satan himself. But most uptight christian families believe that Metal music is the music of Satan and the Devil, and blame it for the cause of many wrong doings in our society, such as family homicides, suicides, murders, columbine sprees, etc. The lyrics are also quite invigorating, they definately capture the critism well. It's pretty much a big joke, you got to remember, alot of what BDM writes is based on past horror stories, and gruesome historical figures, as well as just out right for their love of metal music. Insighting...

Insighting a song that pokes fun at people blaming their style of music for suicides and riots is definately something they would do.
I definitely disagree. I think they are being completel sincere in their lyric writing.

They're not being sincere usually. Trevor said it himself.

This is the most epic Black Dahlia song ever. Ritual is an amazing album.

Possibly inspired by the Amityville horror? Not the entire song of course, but parts of it.
This song induces creaming of the jeans every time. So fucking good live, I've seen them 7-8 times and every fucking show sounds like recording from the albums. Flawless, and hyphy as shit!
I absolutely love bands that try to make kids kill others/themselves; classic! A nice fuck you to the busybody parents that think metal causes evil in children; children are born that way.
Definately about making a contract with the devil as well as acts of homicide and suicide.... ""Suicide is the only way out"
