This is a reckoning,
A cliched cut of lying tongue
Revenge never goes out of style

Gorilla honing trigger finger that makes gorilla man
Ingrained, there's hate within us all

Spiraling I've lost my footing once again
I'm flailing in a tantrum of disgust!

When life holds nothing sacred,
When the loveless turn to loathe
We'll witness this final threatened pose

Oh mother war,
I sleep in your arms tonight
I'm burning, I'm burning for your love

This juggarnaut of bronze and alcohol
Machines of vengeance now are born

Of vengeance we are born
To our graves these grudges shall be sworn

Behold the death of emotions never mourned
We'll die before we crawl

Twisted ministers of death, praying for a bullet

Hail, gorilla suffocate gorilla, maim
An education in howling
Ministers of death, we'll be praying
Praying for this bullet, hail

Gorilla suffocate
Gorilla maim
An education in complete misanthropy

the songs' true name is Statutory Ape and is just a play of words ; rape has nothing to do with it. And he probably believed it was Rape because on Limewire there are many files named Statutory Rape. But it should be changed.

It is actualy called 'statutory ape'! it even says on the back of the album. although the real word is 'statutory rape', this song title is a play on words. This song is about gorila warfare and politics.

The title 'statory ape' could refer to gorila warfare and how terorists and polotics are slowly fucking us all over... hense 'statutory rape'. well... thats what i get from the lyrics, i may be wrong... anyone else wanna help me out on this?

For one thing, its Statutory Ape....and for another thing...

This song is about the hitler youth in Germany. The Hitler's youth were refered to as Ape's because of their bushy eye brows and dominant brow bones. If you've ever noticed, germans typically have more dominant eye brow bone structures. This is where the Ape part comes into play, the rest of the song is very self explanitory if you just think about it in this mind frame.

Obviously it's Ape. They even have a dude in a gorilla costume at most of their shows.

Personally, I think its meanings is more about the indoctrination of youth to be warmongers. Gorilla honing trigger finger that makes gorilla man. Although I generally support troops simply because they kill shit, I also see how silly it is that so many during and afterward define themselves as that killer. That's what makes them 'men'.

Statutory rape is when you bang a youngun' so, even though soldiers are supposed to be at least 18, that's still very young, and so many lose their humanity from of it; the young are mindfucked to become apes.

No idea if that's what he meant but that's what I think.

Someone needs to change the title. It's one of the key metaphors in the song. And it is "Statutory Ape" whoever the hell barabbas is.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
