New Religion Lyrics

Welcome to your life,

We have got you in our sights,

And thoughts of God are better left alone.

It’s in your head, black and blue.

What they told you wasn’t true,

Come along and fight with the unknown.

The Army’s grown.

We’ll pray to all the wrong decisions,

Whoa oh oh,

This time you’ll show all you can be,

Whoa oh oh,

Grab your weapons now,

We’ll run against the crowd

In changing history.

Let's take the vow,

We will show you how.

Your time has come for the new religion.

Your voice is proud, be your savior now,

The battles won for the new religion.

No one can defeat what the congregation speaks,

Bound together the flag that we defend.

They made a fool out of you,

But you knew just what to do.

Raise your fists up and stand until the end.

(Amen!)

We’ll pray to all the wrong decisions.

Whoa oh oh,

This time you’ll show all you can be.

Whoa oh oh,

Grab your weapons now,

We’ll run against the crowd

In changing history.

Let's take the vow,

We will show you how.

Your time has come for the new religion.

Your voice is proud, be your savior now.

The battles won for the new religion.

Come now and imagine with me.

Taking back a world that once was ours.

Let’s regain the power,

And then we will end what we’ve begun.

Let's take the vow,

We will show you how.

Your time has come for the new religion.

Your voice is proud, be your savior now.

The battles won for the new religion.

(Talking)
We are the unholy,

We are the bastard sons of your media culture.

Our minds, eyes and bodies were born of your exclusion.

An illusion you hide behind,

You don’t love a God, you love your comfort.

To you we are filth, we are dirty, so be it!

We are dirty and unclean, a congregation of the unseen.

Together we will set this world on fire.

This is the new religion.

AMEN!

this song.. well this explanation is going to be long haha! ok first off, this song addresses the 'outcasts'. ''its in your head black and blue, what they told you wan't true come along and fight wiht the unknown'' this is refering to the immages that society is cramming down our throats as 'normal' and 'acceptable' and that you shouldn't listen to that because, hey who wants to be normal right? dare to be different! ''we'll pray to all the wrong decisions... changing history'' rebel against normal! show others that just because your different, doesn't mean that your the equivelent to gum on the bottom of someone's shoe, you're a force to be reconed with deary! '' no one can defeat what the congregation speaks... amen'' if we all stand together, we can show society that we're not what they think we are, that we're NOT a stereotype, that we're so much more, we are original and awesome and we have gamechanging ideas, all we need is an opportunity to show them that :) ''we are the unholy...amen'' translation: we're here, we've BEEN here, you've just chosen to ignore us. yea, we're not apart of your perfect vision of society but you know what? who gives a flip? we're going to do what we want to do and you can't do anything about it so :p

how that helps alittle ^-^;

it sounds really dark like they believe religon shouldn't exist i haven't heard this song in a while but by reading the lyrics it just seems like theyre talking about taking an oath to get rid of religion and kinda like make their own religon its very dark but that's just my opinion

My Interpretation

Well Andy stated that he grew up in a reasonably traditional Christian family and afterwards he said although its nice and comforting and all he doesn't think its likely for there to be anything after death. This is basically summed up with "You don't love a god, you love your comfort" That's the thing with religion, (Whether you believe in any or not) Its comforting to think there is a higher power, ya'know. Like that thought process of "At Least if I die I go to a better place" kinda thing. Besides that I think its great as personally I hate religion and see at as propaganda ^-^

Peace Out, ~Seyten~

My Interpretation

Comforting? Without faith, there would be no reason for guilt. The belief is not always comforting. It's not comforting when we sin and know we shall answer to a higher power than our lowly selves. Propaganda is generalizing, stereotyping, and feeling it's ok to be prejudiced against faith and those of faith. Why is a five letter word beginning with M coming to mind? Please be careful tonight.

Guilt Has Many Reasons Not Just Faith, Just Because I Don't Believe In Religion Doesn't Mean I Don't Believe In Some Of Religions Morals. And I Was Simply Using An Example When It Comes To Comfort, Obviously With Everything There Are Ups & Downs, Especially With Comfort. Plus we aren't "Lowly" we are all equal. If your comparing to "God" than okay yes perhaps we may be lowly but that's fictional to me and hence doesn't apply to my life (But If It Does To Your Life, Good Luck (: ). Look I Was Christian For Very Long And My...
