I Don't Wanna Die

What I take from this is the concept of survival during unbearable crisis. He's facing something that makes him seek for vengence in a crazed manner (I kind of feel that he's facing betrayal from the love of his life). He wants to kill the person that took his "baby" from him. He'll die of deprivation and anger if he doesn't gain closure by killing this person that has taken his love from him. Then another prominent element that the song discusses is the possibility of eternal damnation that will be acquired if he murders. He doesn't want to die because the unknown consequences of his actions are petrifying. Many refrences to God and the after life make me feel that the guilt of him killing this person is making him wonder what's going to become of himself when HE dies... Then lastly, I think he sort of justifies his murderous action by saying that it's just how this cruel world works. ("You got to kill what you gotta kill, Yeah that's what they say.") And then he goes on to say that it's just mother nature; everyone dies eventually, and he's just merely tampering with that proccess. ("it's mother nature at least, watch humanity cease") Then finally, he takes the life of the person. ("Now that I see You buried... Six feet below") This is the part where he starts to have a debate within himself. He continues on by saying he has remorse for his actions ("It's not alright... Can't you hear me as I cry?") Lastly, to make himself feel better and forget his compunction, he reminds himself of the main reason why he did this in the first place ("I couldn't let you live, 'Cause I didn't wanna die...") This song really deals with the prfound thouhghts of murder, penance, religion, and life while balancing the relations between morals/values and the rules of nature.

Song meaning... I don't wanna die... As in I don't want to lose myself... So your gonna have to... Letting go of the person in question letting the situation at hand die.

Now that I see Used you six feet below. ... As in I see the problem now and this situation is over, the problems six feet below.

In Charlie Scene's verse (the first verse), you wrote "Someone who's to die, Instead of watching you cry for help." but he really says "someone whose willing to die, just to watch you crying for help" also i noticed at the end of his verse you put "I got to pick up the pieces, I got to bury them deep... And when the dark hits the coffin - Just go to sleep." but its really "I gotta pick up the pieces, I gotta bury 'em deep, and when you look in my eyes, I'll be the last thing you see!"

I think this may be about a vampire. "I don't wanna die so you're gonna have to" Could be about him needing blood to live. "I know that blood will be spilled, and if you won't then I will" If you won't give him some blood, he's taking it. "My grave will never be filled...where I end up I don't know...I keep on asking the question, can I be saved by confession?...When you look in my eyes I'll be the last thing you'll see." He's immortal and if he dies, since he's a vampire, where is he gonna go? Does he have a soul to save? When you see him, you're going to be killed for your blood. "Am I a man or a beast" Not sure what he is anymore because he feasts so violently. "And I can go against God's will, You better pray. 'Cause I'm an angel, a demon. Yeah I'm hell and I'm heaven. I'm everything you couldn't be, now you believe in the devil. I got to pick up the pieces, I got to bury them deep..." He's convinced he's a demon now because he lives off of blood and pain. He's everything they couldn't be: immortal. He has to pick up the pieces/carcass of his love he killed-I think that might have to do with the "I told you once, I'm the only one who holds her." Also, he says "Blood is getting harder, bodie's getting colder" I think the harder could either be harder to drink or the blood is coagulating (Hardening up after being spilled) and the body gets colder because it's being drained of blood.

A song with this theme is a bit out of HU's character, but heck, it just dawned on me and makes sense.

I was thinking the song was about fighting in general, "kill or be killed."

He needs to kill his opponent before he kills him.

But it's not just one fight, it's a life of fights.

I think this song is about being married to a girl, and hurting her verbally, and physically. While doing so, making her cheat on you. ("I'm the only one who holds her")

It tears you apart, and you don't want to die feeling like this, and wanting the other guy to die. Or making you contemplate suicide.

I think this song is about an unhealthy relationship. Sounds like the guy loves the girl but she's either cheated on him or wants to leave him and he thinks that this will kill him....so he'd rather kill her than lose her to someone else.

I love this song, definitely the best one off of their new album, cant wait to download it later

anybody know what this song is implying, because i donk know if he is killing someone because he doesnt want to die, did he make a deal with the devil.
