What am I to say?
I'm all wrapped up in apathy
And I don't want to stay this way
There's nothing left to do
Now that I am onto you
All I want to know is the truth

And I don't want to go
But I feel like I should
'Cause' I'm falling apart
And I die, and die, and die

How could you be the better part of me
When we're only half of what we used to be?
Today, could you see, this isn't what we need
And I'm leaving all the pieces how they fell
So goodbye, farewell

What am I to say?
I still remember everyday
And memories don't fade away
And it all falls apart
In the shadows of the past
It can seem to be so hard but it's time the feelings pass

How could you be the better part of me
When we're only half of what we used to be?
Today, could you see, this isn't what we need
And I'm leaving all the pieces how they fell
So goodbye, farewell

And pull your triggers now what you waitin' for
I stand accused myself, sometimes I'm wrong, God help me
And hear beneath my lie, what am I praying for?
I don't believe in hell but I just might be there tonight

How could you be the better part of me
When we're only half of what we used to be?
Today, could you see, this isn't what we need
And I'm leaving all the pieces how they fell
So goodbye, farewell
Goodbye, farewell

    My Interpretation

He is in a relationship that once was amazing, but no longer has the excitement and the love it once did. There are hints of infidelity or other problems within the relationship, but overall I think a situation like the one described comes from lots of little things adding up over time until finally you realize it really isn't what it once was. It's as if the couple is staying together because it's easier to avoid facing their problems. He is finally realizing that if he can feel so disappointed and ultimately, apathetic about the negative turns the relationship has taken, she can't be his soul mate even if he once thought she was the one.

This is my favorite song from their new album. Its slow pace and the sincerity of the lyrics remind me of Best of Me and With Me from Underclass Hero. All are powerful songs with emotional lyrics and beautiful music.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
